Hey there horse fam! I’m pulling this one out from a few years ago, but since it’s appropriate given that we are knee-deep into November (which is Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Month), it’s a good one! If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you’ll have seen my sweet niece, Aubrey. This kid is absolutely horse crazy and was diagnosed with Type 1 several years ago, but it’s never slowed her down where horses are concerned! Take a look at a little video I did with Aubrey 2 years ago. We talk about how she’s a super-hero (still is!) and what the warning signs of T1D are. Since then, my nep ..read more

Cleaning Out My DISGUSTING Tack Box!

Hey there horse fam! Since I hadn’t been consistent going out to the barn for the last several months (check out this post to find out why!), my tack box had gotten pretty grody….the lid had broken on it, there were random things inside and everything was covered in a really thick layer of dust. Now that I’m able to be a little more consistent with riding Tino again, I decided that the first order of business was to get a new tack box and start fresh. Either that, or get a new tack box and reorganize everything because I had absolutely no idea where anything was, but I digress….. I feel like ..read more

Welcome back horse fam! One of the things that I absolutely love about my job is getting to meet incredible people like Catharine. Quarterly, I reach out on social media to see if there are any equestrians out there that are in interested in writing for our Breed Spotlight. Catharine messaged me to say that she was interested, but at that point, I had plenty of people who had already volunteered. Despite that, she said that she would be more than happy to be an alternate writer in case someone had to drop out and went ahead and wrote her story to submit. Little did she know that while I was r ..read more

Hey there horse fam! It’s been a really long time since I posted a “Day in the Life” type of video, so I thought it might be fun to do one now. Sometimes, it’s always a good idea to look around you and count your blessings and I am definitely doing that. I’m so very blessed with this amazing life! Now granted, it’s not without it’s ups and downs just like anyone else’s, but I always wanted to have an adventurous life and I’m definitely living it! I’m still working on consistency with my riding. It’s really been almost a year since I have done anything consistently with Tino because of my new ..read more

Road Trippin’ To Kentucky Horse Park!

Hey there horse fam! One fantastic thing about publishing your own magazine is getting to meet new people who are in the same field of business as you! Recently, I went to Lexington to attend the American Horse Publishers Conference. While I was there, I had an extra day to do some fun horsey stuff, so I decided that I would go to the Kentucky Horse Park and see what all they had to offer! I had been to the Park once before a year ago with my niece, Aubrey. We went to Equitana, but at that time, we were there to meet people and do some networking so we never got the chance to walk around the ..read more

Hey there horse fam! I thought it was finally time to show you all more of what I’ve been working on for the last YEAR!! If you haven’t already seen on social media, I officially started my own equestrian magazine! We celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY (!!!!!!!!!) on September 23rd and I’m so very proud of what we’ve accomplished! I started this publication because I felt that there was a lot of negativity going on in the world. We were still in the midst of covid madness and I just wanted to be able to use this platform to build something inspiring, encouraging and positive! It’s so easy no ..read more
