The views in this post have not been influenced by anyone at Aldi UK. We were invited to the press event and the opinions are our own.
This morning we had the pleasure of being invited to the press launch of Aldi’s Christmas Showcase at the amazing Sophie’s Restaurant in Soho, London. It felt strange being greeted with a glass of their multi award-winning Veuve Monsigny Champagne at 09:30am, but hey-ho, it was a Christmas event after all, so why not.
The event was a chance for Aldi to showcase everything they will have on offer for this year’s big day, so it was a great opportunity for us to ..read more

About last night. This month is the annual London Restaurant Festival and we were lucky enough to get a table at Adam Handling Chelsea to check out their menu with cocktail pairings by Martin Millers Gin. Every year, the festival’s “Top Ten” series celebrates leading cuisines by inviting top chefs to create an exclusive menu for one night only in their restaurants. Adam Handling has recently won Restauranteur of the Year at the British GQ Food and Drinks Awards.

This review has not been influenced by anyone at Zeiver, the views are our own, and we have not been paid for this post.
When we first saw Zeiver Gin, the bottle and label design immediately caught our eye - there’s something about the colours black and white together that work so well. The team behind Zeiver Gin are James Bilson and Clayton Patterson - they teamed up with Dr John Walters from the The English Spirit Distillery in our home county of Essex to distil their unique gin.
Upon checking the recipe we were surprised to see that it features such a complex range of botanicals, along wi ..read more

This review has not been influenced by anyone at Brother Bears Gin, the views are our own, and we have not been paid for this post.
It’s always exciting when we find a new gin that we’ve never seen anywhere before, and it’s even better when it turns out to be an absolute gem. We were recently sent a bottle of gin all the way from a tiny village in France, from the guys behind the Bear Brothers’ Project.
The Bear Brothers Project is the brain child of brothers Alexandre and Julien Caruana, along with their lifelong friend Frederic Gommard. Everything is managed in-house to create their citrus ..read more

Our review has not been influenced by anyone at Bōkan and we have not been paid for this review.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to check out the rooftop restaurant/bar at Bōkan in Canary Wharf. Situated across the top three floors of the stylish Novotel hotel, Bōkan boasts a restaurant on the 37th floor, a lively bar with a great selection of gin on the 38th floor and an amazing Hendricks themed roof terrace on the 39th floor which boasts 360° views of the London skyline.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Coco who showed us to our table on their roof terrace with an amazing view across ..read more

This review has not been influenced by anyone at Hayman's Gin, the views are our own, and we have not been paid for this post.
Dry January has never really meant anything to us in the Gin Bandits’ household. As you know we love to enjoy a G&T or two, and therefore substituting a real gin with this new craze of low or no alcohol spirits has never really appealed to us. In our minds, if we want a gin, then we want a real gin!
Well, that was before we finally got round to trying Hayman’s Small Gin. We had seen the miniature Hayman’s bottle featured a lot recently across social media and adm ..read more
