We hardly stop to think about the curative power of art and how it can shed light even in the most difficult moments of our lives. One of them, without a doubt, is losing a child. In July 2020, Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada and his family had to say goodbye to Neuquén, his first child. He was

It’s been 17 months since I last managed to write anything for the blog. August 2020 was my last written piece. That’s a pretty substantial amount of time to suffer from writers block. Or maybe it was imposter syndrome or a bit of both, I’m really not sure. It’s possible I’ve spent a few too many

I have written about Etnik extensively on No Grey Walls. From his short term wall here in Barcelona to his platonic solids series in Paris, Millancay,

I was put onto the work of British artist Jo Peel from an old friend in the UK. Jo’s Instagram bio states that she is an ‘Artist who paints, draws and animates within and of the urban environment’ As someone with a love for buildings and angles she sounded like the type of artist I’d

I gotta admit, I had never heard of Kopisuno until a month or so ago. Hey, hey don’t be too judgemental, sometimes artists just slip through the net ok! To be fair, Kopisuno seems to paint exclusively in those hard to reach places. As someone without a car, some of these popular painting spots are

I wrote a few weeks ago about Avant Gard Tudela, the street art festival curated by artist Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada and organised by Tudela-Cultura. Despite everything that’s been going on in the world these days the event went ahead and was a roaring success! Betting for culture is always risky, even more nowadays. The idea of

Lockdown might not quite be over but the organisers of Avant Garde are planning to bring colour back to the streets ASAP. This June should see the 7th edition of Avant Garde held in the Spanish town of Tudela, Navarre. The first edition of Avant Garde was held back in 2010 and since then has

Italian artist Gabs has been around the Barcelona graffiti scene for a number of year now. He’s been on my loooong list of artists who I’ve wanted to interview for a hot minute. Gabs pieces have just always really stood out to me. So, hot on the heels of the interview with his crew mate
