That one time I went on a dating show – and got stood up.

I still can’t get over the fact that I was cast to be on a dating show. LOL. I know it’s not the bachelorette, but I am not sure I am cut out for that kind of dating show… So when this opportunity presented itself to me, I was like “whaaaaaat”?!?! It all started when this casting agency slid into my DM’s. They reached out and said they “liked my vibe” and wanted to get on a call. From there, they asked to Skype, where I answered questions like, “what’s your name, age, city you live in” ; “what do you do for work?”, what do you do for fun?”, and the hardest question to answer…”what are you look ..read more

January 2020 – I am Capable

2020: I AM CAPABLE ⁣ ⁣ For me, this year is all about rewriting my narrative & shattering the limiting beliefs I have about myself. ⁣ ⁣ Here’s a few of these lies I have lived by, believing them to be the forever truth. ⁣ ⁣ 1. I can’t cook and when I try, it will still be shit. ⁣ ⁣ 2. I can’t be alone / I don’t like it. ⁣ ⁣ 3. I’m not smart, creative or original enough to be worthy of the unique success I aspire to achieve. ⁣ ⁣ These are three HUGE lies I have believed for far too long, and their story ends RIGHT NOW ⁣ ⁣ It’s A LOT to tackle, I know. but I’m committed to taking baby step ..read more

How to navigate the holidays & still stay true to yourself

For most people, the holidays are fun, festive and the most wonderful time of the year, but for others, the holiday season isn’t cheery and bright. Personally, the holidays have always been a bit different since becoming an adult. This holiday season has been filled with all the feels. I wouldn’t go as far to call myself a Grinch but I don’t find myself jumping for joy this year. I have an amazing family and irreplaceable friends, but I still can’t help feeling sad, anxious and lonely every now and then. As you know, I love sharing my IRL experiences to help others feel less alone, offer tips ..read more

San Diego’s One-of-a-Kind Festival, KAABOO Del Mar!

If you live in San Diego, and haven’t been to KAABOO yet… WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! KAABOO is San Diego’s first “big” music festival, hosted at the iconic, Del Mar Fairgrounds. Typically, when you go to a festival, you’re going to the middle of nowhere and dancing to the long list of musicians that are lined up to play. You can generally expect to get dirty, camp out and have fun with friends. Personally, I love festivals. I’ve been to the “big ones”,  Stagecoach and Coachella, among smaller sized festivals like Rock the Bells and Reggaefest and each one, although extremely different, genera ..read more

&&&& I’m back! If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know I took a social media break, but don’t worry, I resurfaced hah. In short, it was amazing, obviously, or I wouldn’t be writing a blog post about the whole shebang. I am a pretty go-go-go person. I love being out and about, going to events, meeting new people and exploring new places. I keep my schedule preeeetty busy and sleep….. what is that? I don’t really slow down, unless my body absolutely makes me. Sooooo when I got this last warning sign, I knew I needed to actually change something or I didn’t know what was go ..read more

Summer MUST HAVES from a California girl

Being from San Diego, the beach has been and always will be a HUGE part of my life. I am not only a total sun worshiper, but I would 100% be a mermaid if I could breathe under water. With that being said, I am a total sucker for summertime essentials. Without further ado, here is my list of SUMMER MUST HAVES! No beach day would be an actuuaaallll beach day without a swimsuit. DUHH. Now, this used to be the one thing I would dread the most during summer seasons, but once I realized it was the negative self talk and lack of confidence that was holding me back; shopping for swimsuits wasn’t so t ..read more

The End of An Era: The Badass Babes Club.

I’m sitting in my empty room. This is the last time I’ll ever be surrounded by these four walls. I hear the dogs barking, the train. The neighborhood kids screaming and laughing, probably playing tag or on their scooters. Apparently I’m an emotional mover. I’ve already cried about leaving this place. Even though the parking was atrocious and some neighbors I’d prefer to have lived without…. this place, the bad ass babes club, my sanctuary, this chapter, is closing && it’s time to move on. The other day, I walked into my empty (not yet clean) room and burst into tears. The memories th ..read more

sooooo THIS EVENT WAS AMAZING. And I’m not just saying that because I want you to have FOMO and come on my next trip… haha, even though I do want you to come next time… but, it really was amazing. Twelve of us women got together and spent the day supporting women owned businesses around San Diego! We rode around in a limo bus, shared stories over champagne, ate the BEST Mexican food, designed jewelry AND walked away with goodies from local makers and shakers!!!   But how did this even become a thing?  I was hoping you’d ask… In honor of International Women’s Day, which is every year ..read more

I know I can not be the only one who feels like there isn’t enough time in the world to get all the things I want to accomplish, done. Not only do I have a “regular job”, but I also am an entrepreneur, creator, friend, daughter, and sister. I have laundry to do, mail to send off, bills to pay and every day I act like I have my shit together.. It’s  A LOT.  Guilt and shame creep in when I start to think about everything I couldn’t finish that day. The unfinished list usually consists of those boring errands, like grocery shopping,  cleaning the fish bowl, finally making that appo ..read more

Why I drove 25+ miles for this ONE drink…

So how did I come to drive over 25 miles for just a drink not just once…but TWICE!!!!!?! For starters, I couldn’t figure out where else to get it, as for the other reason… it was that good. If you know anything about me, you’ll know I live in North County San Diego. Im from here, as in born and raised. I’m used to driving, like driving A LOT, like driving to every single destination. the constant traffic. the bad drivers. the perpetual decision to take the backroads or the freeway. So the drive from San Marcos to Smoothie Riders, that new smoothie shop in Liberty Station, didn’t seem “that bad ..read more
