We share 5 things that we reckon should be on your list of things to do whilst in iso. As always, and if you aren't already, you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Happy listening! There's plenty of people in the Australian outdoor community that I'm keen on interviewing on this podcast because I genuinely believe that everyone has a unique story to tell. So, when adventure enthusiast Terra Roam contacted me to set up a chat on the podcast, I naturally jumped at the opportunity. And any chat with an outdoor identity such as Terra can only be conducted in one place - the outdoors! We discuss everything from her origin story in the outdoors, her 4-year record-breaking walk around Australia to bring awareness to mental health, and her upcoming walk - Climb8 - an 800km snows ..read more

In this episode of the podcast, I had the opportunity to chat with three founders from arguably the three biggest women's only outdoor groups. Tamara from Melbourne Girls Outside, Andrea from Ladybirds on the Loose and Richelle from Escaping Your Comfort Zone joined me for a fairly in-depth roundtable discussion about all things outdoors but specifically relating to women in the outdoors and the internal and external barriers they face. Not going to lie - I think this might be the best episode yet. It's definitely the longest ;) Be sure to follow them on social: Tamara @melbgirlsoutside, Andre ..read more

One question that always gets asked, and rightly so, when people are starting to get into hiking is "what sort of hiking boots should I choose"? With so many brands available to you it can certainly be overwhelming when figuring out where to begin. However, in my opinion, a brand should be third on your list when it comes to things to consider when choosing a pair of boots ..read more

Episode 005: Letting External Incidents Prevent You From Hiking

Recently in Melbourne, a hiker's body was recovered from the popular hiking location Werribee Gorge. Without wanting to speculate over the details of how, why and what, something I did notice on social media were people's reactions and how some were debating whether to visit Werribee Gorge ever again, going out hiking/camping as much as they do or if they should be far more careful than they actually are. I'm a huge believer that safety in the outdoors is paramount, but an unfortunate incident shouldn't deter people from enjoying what they love to do ..read more
