Born and raised in the frigid weather of Montreal, Quebec, I launched FTBT's in Dec 2018.I decided to start this site in order to give people a different perspective on the sport I love so much.Rather than give you the boring old boys club tone, we're adding some humour & quirky views of the great game of golf.My best round was a 94 & rumour has it I once had a mere 20 foot eagle putt..

Yea, so sports have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. But, that doesn’t stop the world’s best strengthening their game for the November Masters and other majors happening in the fall and summer. Here is 5 golfers that benefit the most from their time off
Brooks Koepka
Brooks was abysmal in his return to injury this year. Whether it was rust, psyche or just a slump, Koepka needed a change of scenery and he got it in a big way. Now, he’ll have Uber time to get himself healthy and in shape for a busy summer/fall. Don’t be surprised if Koepka comes back with a vengeance and rack up ..read more

It’s Master’s week and Tiger did not disappoint us by making sure we all were able to partake in the traditional Monday night Master’s Champions dinner. I’m not sure what was served but look at that GOAT beard he’s rocking under quarantine on his 4+ acre estate in Florida.
Masters Champions Dinner quarantine style. Nothing better than being with family. pic.twitter.com/xPK769CWCf— Tiger Woods (@TigerWoods) April 7, 2020
The family is looking great in their green and oh, what’s that as the centerpiece? Yep, the hardware. Oh and what’s that in the background, just part of his practice fac ..read more

To leave any of Tiger’s majors off a list feels wrong, but there are 5 that stand out above the rest. I could be convinced that 2-5 should be in a different order, but number 1 is forever at the top.
5. 2001 Masters
Tiger and Phil in the final pairing, with David Duval charging. Oh yeah, Tiger was looking to cap off the “Tiger Slam” and hold all 4 major championships at once, which is still one of the greatest achievements in the history of sports. Can you imagine what it would be like if someone were chasing this accomplishment in the Twitter era? Not only was the pressure immense, but ..read more

The Performance of the Australian Players on the PGA TOUR in 2020 Should Raise Eyebrows
In the immortal words of Jim Nantz, welcome, friends. I’m a new contributing writer at FromTheBackTees. Lucky to have you on board. I hope you, your friends, family and neighbors are safe and healthy during this difficult time.
With the COVID-19 virus teaching us the newfound art of social distancing while the PGA TOUR and professional sports in general remain on an unprecedented hiatus, there’s clearly no better time than the present to look back at the current season thus far, casting a specific ey ..read more

We have no sports. We have no gambling. We have nothing to keep our minds off this damn virus, but hopefully the common man can help with that. It has been talked about and now they’re leaks coming out of what the potential golf schedule is going to look like after the “stay-at-home” ban is lifted. This includes the Masters being played in November and even the Ryder cup still being held. We all know how padraig Harrington feels about this (google his response to Ryder cup being cancelled).
Even though there have been announcements of the Open being canceled due to insurance reasons the R ..read more

In these desperate days of wandering the sporting wasteland, I’ve been thinking back over my lifelong love affar with sports. Like most passionate sports fans my love affair began when I started playing sports as a kid. I played anything with a ball, but one sport ruled my world.
I was born in a little country at the bottom of the world called New Zealand. As any serious sports fan will know, the entire nation is focussed on rugby. New Zealand is not so much a country as a rugby player machine, pumping out oval ball prodigies year after year. On Saturday mornings in every corner of the l ..read more

I apologize to all the fans out there as the common man has been in the epicenter of the entire corona virus “war.” I figured I would get away from writing about golf and sports for a second and fill you guys & gals in on what truly is happening here in NYC, aka the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak.
1) This can’t be said enough but…Take.This.Virus.Seriously. Take it from someone who’s living in it right now, this isn’t fear mongering, this isn’t a political stunt, this is real folks. It first started off as ooooo wow can’t believe this is happening in my backyard to holy shit my c ..read more

(Rolls booger between fingers) Alright alright alright…I haven’t been able to play ALL of the courses around Oregon and I’m sure there are some I have played that some may feel should make this list. However, I am an imperfect being so bear with me as I try to fill out a list of the Top Ten Oregon Golf Courses. These are the courses I would tell my out of town friends that they MUST play if they are visiting and have enough spare time to venture around the four corners of Oregon. Again – this list consists only of courses I personally have played so chances are if I’m missing some obvious ones ..read more

Finally some good news!
We know Phil Mickelson likes to be active on social media and Sunday night was no different. A follower by the name of @YurkisMaximus tweeted Phil:
@TigerWoods @PhilMickelson do you think there is a chance you two go play a round mic’d up with one camera guy and just put it out there on a stream for people to watch?? We need live sports— Chris Yurko (@YurkisMaximus) March 29, 2020
to which Phil responded with:
Working on it— Phil Mickelson (@PhilMickelson) March 30, 2020
and then followed that up with:
I don’t tease. I’m kinda a sure thing— Phil Mi ..read more
