SUGAR GLIDER: From One Drop: The Sugar Glider can be best understood with some background story on the Cascade. We released the Cascade in July of 2012. Prototype #1 was known internally as “The Wing”. It was certainly really different for the time and there was disagreement about how to proceed because we didn’t know it was good enough to release. Freshly Dirty wanted to keep the same general profile as the Dreamboat (the inspiration for this new model) while giving it a totally new weight distribution. The clean rounded cup is visually appealing, and the H shaped profile still allows it to have plenty of rim weight. One of the more ‘old school’ design features of the original Dreamboat was the mid wall, which really helped it excel at tricks like regens and stalls.
