Well, it’s Wedding Expo season! Which means it’s time for me to start thinking about Wedding choreography and first dances again. I did my first bridal dance for a close friend in 2015. I remember how fascinating it was to see how they grappled with a completely new task (they had never danced before), how they worked together through the hurdles and how they communicated and resolved any issues they were having with each other and with the task at hand. The All About Swing Crew want to thank everyone for making the Concord Carnival Such a spectacular day! We had an absolute blast Jumping to the Beat and sharing our love of Swing Dancing in Concord! We were overwhelmed by the amount of interest and support from so many guests at the Festival. I recently spent a week at a swing dancing camp and it was the most fun. Workshops all day, socials all night, meeting new people, and ALL THE DANCING! In ballet, choreography is often used to tell a story and in solo Jazz certain moves can be used in conjunction with the music to create an entertaining performance.
