Formed in 2017 from a merger of Marlborough Savings Bank and North Middlesex Savings Bank, Main Street Bank has been proudly supporting our communities for over 100 years. Based in Marlborough, with offices in Littleton, Ayer, Shirley, Groton, and other surrounding towns, the bank believes that all of our lives are richer when we support one another.
Through a five-year, $50,000 grant via Main Street Group Foundation, the bank has expanded its commitment to supporting Indian Hill’s music education programs and public school educational outreach in high-need communities.

Indian Hill Music is pleased to welcome two new Board Members to its roster: Peter Bentinck-Smith of Concord, and Miriam Smith of Harvard.
Peter Bentinck-Smith is a former educator and business executive. After growing up in Groton, he attended Lake Forest College where he received his B.A. in History. For the next seven years he taught in both the Brookline (MA) Public Schools and the Park School in Brookline. Jazz pianist and writer Ethan Iverson has made his mark in contemporary jazz, with performances in venues as diverse as the Village Vanguard, Carnegie Hall, and Bonnaroo, and collaborations with artists like Joshua Redman, Mark Turner, Bill Frisell, Ron Carter, and the Mark Morris Dance Group.
Iverson has been working on his solo piano concept for decades. His original Live from Indian Hill set on January 23 will unveil new work created specifically for this idiom, drawing on the whole of the jazz tradition.

One of the first music-making casualties of the pandemic was group singing. After a chorus event in Washington state led to the deaths of two of its members last spring from COVID-19, it became evident that group singing was one of the most dangerous ways to transmit the virus. The American Choral Directors Association warned that group singing would not be safe until a vaccine became available, and in-person vocal groups at Indian Hill Music and throughout the country were put on pause.
