The severely inflamed acne experiment
If your skin could talk

None of us like the idea of experimenting with our skin, especially during breakouts but a friend of mine was in desperate need of a solution for their inflamed unhappy skin. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, people have asked me a lot about why my skin looks so healthy and well moisturized. The answer is simple, I give it attention and I moisturize. Even when I have acne or oilier skin than usual, I am a firm believer in hydrating your skin no matter what your environment is like. It may just mean you need to use different facial lotions and serums that work better in those conditions ..read more

If you’re like me, you hate waxing and it’s not just the pain but more the aftermath of bumps, acne, and skin irritations. Every time I wax some area of my body, my skin reacts poorly and as punishment for the torture I end up with really ugly skin irritations above my lips, armpits, and you know where… So, I’ve been experimenting with some ways to avoid getting bumps after a wax and finally found something that works for my skin type, dry, sensitive and unforgiving. Just like everyone else, I started trying to solve my skin problems with cleansers, this is only the first step of many that I feel is c ..read more

The first one was neutrogena, this simply was not strong enough for my acne, which seemed to be all types, blackheads, white heads, cystic, tiny bumps, my face for whatever reason chose not to discriminate against different types of acne. It was painful because each cleanser either claimed to solve it all or solved one type of acne. An example is the classic biore strip, remove blackheads, yada yada yada.  My point is ..read more

I’m obsessed with my skin
If your skin could talk

I honestly didn’t know how obsessed I was. For years people have told me I have great skin and often called it flawless. The truth is, it wasn’t always. Growing up I always had clear skin, no acne, no scars, maybe a few freckles on each cheek. When I was in my mid-20s, I started having breakouts and they were extreme.  I tried lots of products over the counter, as seen on tv, prescription,  all natural treatments and found a few things that worked my not entirely. I narrowed down two ingredients to try salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid did not work for me. I’m not ..read more
