The wait is finally over. For me, rather than you! My new jewellery collection designed in collaboration with Missoma has been in the works for almost a year, a plan hatched whilst in L.A together last October, so it really does feel like a bit of a baby I’ve slowly been hatching behind the scenes… Although thankfully no painful labour involved hopefully!  Having been working with Missoma since 2014, this is our third permanent collection together and without doubt the most personal collection I’ve designed to date. Called 1987 after the year I was born (a vintage year I like to think), thi ..read more

The Start of a Long, (hopefully) Hot Summer in Ibiza

I love travelling further afield from my London-base. The white-washed atolls of the Maldives; the vast bushland of East Africa; the vibrancy and colours of Rajasthan, and of course the neck-straining tall palms and golden light of southern California, all some of my favourite places in the world and all hold that can’t-find-anywhere-else magic. But I’ve come to realise, when it comes to that easy-breezy, sand between your toes summer feeling, it really is hard to beat Europe, namely one of my favourite islands just about anywhere, Ibiza. To me, it isn’t really summer until I’ve been back to ..read more

Spring Fever Shopping Edit

I think it’s long established I’m a sunny weather girl. I love leather trousers, thick tread boots and massive bomber jackets yes, but nothing gets me excited like summer threads. Sunny days in London suddenly have me thinking beyond jeans and boots and just like that, I feel like I’ve got my mojo back for getting dressed on a daily basis. So in addition to the two outfits featured, and incidentally two of my favourite current colour combinations (tequila sunrise cocktails and terracotta against a blue sky), I thought I’d make a little favourites/Spring wish list compiling everything I’ve spo ..read more

South Africa | Three Days in Cape Town

It’s been almost (emphasis on almost) twenty years since I was last in Cape Town and I was really excited to see how the cities changed since I was last there a train-track wearing gawky tweenager. I’d heard tonnes about the amazing food scene in Cape Town (make the reservations well in advance – it’s like New York in terms of getting a table at some places) and was excited for more beach time, wine and culture over our last two days. Being a beach bum, it’s unsurprising I chose the cliffside Cape View Clifton as our base camp. Compared to London and L.A, Cape Town is quick and easy to get a ..read more

South Africa | Cape Town’s Beach Suburbs

From Franschooek, we headed South East for a few days exploring the cape peninsula before finishing off in Cape Town itself. I really wanted to get at least a taste of living like a local for a couple of days at least and have our own space so loved the idea of renting somewhere right on the beach. My sister, a Cape Town regular, recommended the small, surfy beach town of Kommetjie (Komm-uh-kee) about an hour outside of central Cape Town as a place to base ourselves and the beach house we ended up renting really was a dream. I found it via Perfect Hideaways, an amazing resource for renting be ..read more

I was last in South Africa aged fifteen with my family so needless to say, the country’s beautiful wine country and vino it produced was kind of lost on me. While I was just entering that phase of life where you’re continually trying to smuggle a Smirnoff Ice, I was most definitely not yet old enough to appreciate a really good Sauvignon. So when Faithfull the Brand, as you know one of my favourite go-to labels for holidays, asked me to go to South Africa to shoot their new collection for them, I knew I had to tie-in a trip Franschhoek, a world-renowned wine region less than two hours from C ..read more

How to Not Look Boring While Beating the Cold

Frosty mornings and multiple layers can really take their toll on your wardrobe. It can be hard not to end up melting into the sea of other people shuffling around in various shades of black, brown and bobbly scarfs. Goes without saying winter is 10 times harder to show some personality when you get dressed but it’s by no means impossible. Don’t be wrong, I love to shuffle around in a big, black parka and beanie myself while walking the dog and running errands, but too much time in my beloved ugg boots and hoodies can end up making me feel like something of a sloth. So I feel like I have some ..read more

California Road Trip | Joshua Tree

Our first stop after L.A was one of our favourites… If you’ve spent anytime in L.A you will have heard of Joshua Tree. Palm Springs’ laidback, hippy neighbour, it’s a favourite weekend getaway for L.A natives who want to hike, have a sound bath, do some stargazing and generally escape the rat race for a few days. Heading east out of L.A, the city seems to go on forever with endless malls and Taco Bells rolling past the windows, until suddenly the city gives way to sand and you realise you’re suddenly in desert territory. Unlike Palm Springs, this isn’t the place for luxury hotels or fine dini ..read more

California Road Trip | The Beginning

The first in a series of blog posts from our amazing, whirlwind, happiness-filled California road trip. I say whirlwind, we had 12 days, but even that felt kind of rushed at times when trying to cram in as much of California ( and a quick 24 hours in Arizona) as we could. Having been to L.A a good few times before but never journeyed outside of the city properly, I’ve been dying to drive up the 101 and take in the likes of Big Sur and San Francisco for a long, long time. A work trip to L.A with Missoma (tough gig I know) at just the right time of year gave me the perfect excuse to extend the ..read more

Le Sirenuse, Positano

If you’ve spent anytime at all on Pinterest or Instagram in the last few years (so, all of us), you’ll have seen the Italian village of Positano well-documented. One of the most photographed towns of the Amalfi Coast, Positano is postcard-perfect with pastel-coloured houses descending down the cliffs, alleyways straining with tutti-frutti ceramic stores and rails of fluttering white linen dresses and no-end of great spots to tuck into spaghetti vongole and peach bellinis. I’ve long wanted to go but I’ve never quite found the right time; summer too busy for my liking, winter too chilly. But th ..read more
