Whilst away in Kona, I really wanted to write a reflection post since the day my life changed and took a path that I had never planned for myself. So really this post is for me and also so I can look back on this time in my life and remind myself that fuck I am strong. Thought I would take a different approach tonight. After having a roast dinner (yum yum) with my friend, Linzey down at our local, then getting home and packing all my kit for tomorrows training, I sit in my favourite space in my house, my bedroom. Got Alexa on in the background playing ‘Acoustic covers’ from Spotify, Nero is on the chair purring his face off, cause he is happy I am home and Lucky, goodness knows where she is. I felt that I needed to share that stuff as a lot of first time racers read my race report and those who are looking to do this race in the future either as their 2nd 3rd or 100th will also find benefit.
