Decorating a home can be quite expensive, especially when you’re changing the theme of an entire home. Last May, we purchased a new home, and I decided to get rid of our old decor, which consisted of mostly brown with hints of orange, blue, and green scattered throughout. This time we chose to go with my favorite colors; Grey, blue, turquoise, and white. Together these colors represent tranquility, energy, creativity, balance, and sophistication. I must say that I’m doing pretty well when it comes to sticking with my color pallet; however, I do have accents of brown within my decor and tend to ..read more

Lately, we’ve been experiencing a lot of power outages in my area due to all of the thunderstorms. When that happens, we run for candles or a flashlight. I like to have both on hand just in case the other fails. If you live somewhere that experiences thunderstorms, hurricanes or tornadoes, then you know the importance of having these items in your home at all times. I like to use tealights because they’re cheap and easy to store. You can get a pack of 100 from Target for under $10. Since we’ve had to use our tealight candles more often, I decided to leave them out on the table. If you’re famil ..read more

After pigging out on Memorial Day with my family, I decided we needed to eat a healthy meal.  I had initially taken out ground turkey with the plan to make a zucchini and turkey casserole but, after a busy day I couldn’t bare to stand another hour.
