Venice needs no introduction. One of the most coveted cities by the sea, it is a must have on every travelers list. This beautiful city of Canals has a mystic feel which will take you back to the times of Renaissance. The city which was once the hotbed of trade and commerce during the times of Renaissance was also made famous historically by the imfamed Casanova. I caught the train from Naples to Venice which took me a good five hours. I got down at Venezia St.Lucia station and took the water bus to my hotel. (Yes that the beauty inside Venice its all water water everywhere). The streets of ..read more

As I shared in my previous post, I halted at Naples to go to Pompeii (If You haven’t read about it you can go through my post here). But I had so much in the town of Naples that I decided to dedicate a seperate post all together. Naples is nearly 5 hours by train from Rome. I boarded a one way ticket via Italo trains and lodged myself up in a cosy apartment via Airbnb. The first sight you will be greeted in Naples is the Mount Vesuvius in the background and the amazing coastline. But it is also famous for one of the most famed dish of all time-the home of Neapolitan cuisine and the famed Pizza ..read more

The Lost City of Pompeii

I guess no history buff would not be intrigued by Pompeii, the ancient Roman city which was snuffed out by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius way back in 79AD.  But what remains behind is a well preserved city that was frozen back in time. I must admit I watched all the movies and documentaries and every time it fascinated me and made me more determined that I must visit it whenever I am in Italy. So from Rome I booked a one way ticket via Train Italo to Naples. But to visit Pompeii you need to take a local train Circumvesuvina. My suggestion is to halt at Naples and then make a day trip ..read more

I generally dont write about flight reviews but then I believe as a budget traveller getting a good, affordable and comfortable flight is what we all look at and trust me all apprehensions were laid to rest during my recent travel to Spain. I booked a one way ticket to Madrid from New Delhi via Moscow through Aeroflot Flight Num SU-235 and SU-2500. As ill luck could have it the flight was delayed due to air space closure and it finally announced to take off at 03:00 AM instead of 01:20 AM as scheduled. This was completely operational delay and there were other airlines who cancelled their flig ..read more

Rome is no doubt one of the most fascinating heritage on this Earth. From the tales of Cleopatra and Caesear, to Nero and the Senate the ancient Roman legacy is intriguing and woven with taken that have existed throughout the centuries. So it was always have been in my bucket list to visit this city. I booked a cosy apartment just next to the famed Colloseum. Apart from seeing the Colloseum during the working hours viewing it during the night once the lights come up is a different sight altogether. Orginially a venue for bloody Gladiator games this is the largest amphitheatre ever built. Luck ..read more

Hi guys, just back from my trip to Spain. Spain was on my radar list for long and it did not disappoint me a bit. I landed in Madrid and took an Alsa Bus to Seville, the heartcentre of Andalusia region. I booked a cosy apartment in the Old City of Seville so that all the major locations are within a walking distance. The only hiccup which I faced is the language problem as majority people does not speak English and there was no signage also available to guide my way. Spain is basically known for its vibrant night life and one of the most famous landmarks Metropol Parasol was just around the co ..read more

Ok , I have been thinking about this topic for a long time. For budget travellers like me, we always have to watch out for that sharp rise in airfare whether it is domestic or international. Non-refundable tickets are no doubt cheap but they are also sometimes risky as for whatever reasons if you have to cancel then your entire money will go down the swoosh. So these are some of my fundas which will help you save costs at the same time make your experience enjoyable. Firstly if you are travelling international referring to sites such as skyscanner is not a bad idea. It provides you a compariso ..read more
