Hi, For about a week now I am facing a weird issue, I have 1 proxmox server hosting 2 pbx server and 3 internets for those 2 servers (2 internet 1 for each server for outbound calls and 1 for all browsing). Now setup is something like this, 1 router with 192.168.100.1/24 is serving everyone with both pbx connected, And both server got their respective outbound inter to send calls out to voip providers, I got 5 voip providers registered in both servers. Hi all, can anyone help me with Adtran rack mounts? I am looking for the 19 inch rack mounts for an Adtran TA908 3rd gen. The manufacturer website says the part number is 1200927L18. I can't find a picture of these rack mounts ANYWHERE. I don't even know what they look like. I ordered some online, and they're wrong. They're a half inch too short. CDW is listing the part number at this link, https://www.cdw.com/product/adtran-rack-bracket-19/2392406 but with no picture I'm real suspicious. Any experience with rack mounting the 12.2 inch wide Adtran ta908? submitted by /u/lordofallkings [visit ..read more

Can VOIP phones be used with internet phone service?

Apologies for not knowing the terminology. My small nonprofit was gifted ten YeaLink T46S VOIP telephones. I was hoping that we could plug them in to the phone jacks we’re using now with our internet provider until we make the switch to VOIP service, but our test phone just says “no network detected”. I’ve tried entering a static IP address in setup - really not knowing what I was doing, just following online guidance - but I still get the same message. We are switching to VOIP service in a couple months. Our phones now don’t even show the caller’s number, they’re so old. Do we need to wait u ..read more

Looking for VoIP system with address book

I'm not sure if this exists. I'm looking for a VoIP system I can use through my computer and when a client called , a call display opens on my desk top with notes I may have entered in their contacts . If that's not possible I was thinking to put a custom note in the field where their last name should be. Basically I need this to aid my receptionist when recurring customers call and she doesn't need to ask the same questions and all the info will open up when my customers call. I have about 300 recurring customers so it's to much time memorize their info submitted by /u/dirtybirdy36 [visit r ..read more

Essentially what I am trying to do: locally hosted SIP server to call from door entry device/panel to android phone. What I have done thus far: Setup FreePBX on VMWare instance Created 2 extenstions, 1 for the doorpanel and other one for either monitor or Android phone. Tested that the SIP is working locally between my 2 pcs. I Installed MicroSIP clients on both of my PCs, gave both their own extensions (111 and 222) and managed to call back and forth between the two. I gave one of the extensions to the Door Entry panel, I was able to get it to accept it, register it and it showed as all goo ..read more

Newb Reducing Twilio Forwarding Costs - Any Tips?

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. Our B2B saas startup uses twilio to receive a call, do a custom IVR thing, and likely forward the caller to another number. It's blown up a bit which is great, but good grief - costs for forwarded minutes are a kick in the pants. Currently paying $0.036 per forwarded minute all in. My question is, how would you cut vendor costs? Building software & hosting servers is a non-issue. Here are my current thoughts: Asking the user to hang up then call a different number is a no go. We could text them the number but that's still crummy If ..read more
