Anyone have experience with Vonage Residential?

Hello all. I am currently looking to get a Voip service to replace my home phone service. I was looking at Vonage because the plan says its $9.99/month, where as I currently pay Spectrum $19.99/month. What's stopping me from making the switch is that I've seen some reviews saying that Vonage has some hidden fees that can eventually get the bill up to around $18.99. With the ACP Benefits being cut and my Spectrum Promotion being cut at about the same time I'm currently trying to save that $30 some other way. Is Vonage worth it? Or will the price get raised due to surcharges/taxes? submitted b ..read more

Problem with calls not coming through

I'm a dispatcher for a company that uses a Voip service (Net2Phone) to forward calls to my cellphone. It's been working perfectly for the last year and a bit, until like 2 weeks ago, when it suddenly gave up. Anyone that calls the line while my phone number is connected, just has a dropped call or something. It won't even forward to the backup line. It's only my phone number, none of my coworkers are having this issue, and I haven't changed anything with my phone at all. Bell says it's not on their end, Net2Phone says it's fine for them. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what the iss ..read more

I have 120 users I have a PRI from comcast I only need voicemails, ring groups, transfer calls to ext, to make and receive calls. why the hell should I buy some type of service that charges $20 a seat VS getting Freepbx spun up on a spare server? Freepbx is supported by Sangoma and I can just buy support from them at a yearly flat rate. Again, very simple phone system is needed how do I justify paying $2400 a month for a basic phone system? I ask all this because our mitel system is end of life. Its been working for the past 10 years and everyone is trying to get us to go to some type of clou ..read more

Has anyone on RingCentral successfully submitted a TCR application for the use cases where you are not doing outbound messaging, only inbound receipts to allow our users to receive multi-factor authentication codes or other like messages received via SMS? I've gotten rejected twice now and I'm not sure how to satisfy them given the application form is not pertinent to our use case. submitted by /u/Infinite_Salad_1873 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Personal VoIP recommendation? not a business owner

Heyo, total newbie here! I moved to Canada from another country and want to add a local phone number without giving up my old number or getting a new phone. I've seen Talkatone, Textnow, and Chatr thrown around in this forum and other posts, but I see a lot of mixed reviews on whether they're reliable or safe to use. Does anyone have recommendations for affordable, non-scammy providers, or things to watch out for if I start using a VoIP? If there's an FAQ post I haven't seen, just let me know, just looking for some advice. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/milf_hannibal_lecter [visit reddit ..read more

We just got a bill from MCI out of Jacksonville FL for some voip phone calls we made to an Atlanta number in January and February. We have voip service with a local provider. I called MCI customer service number on the invoice and got a call center rep who gave me non-plausible explanations and then eventually hung up on me when I asked them why they were sending me a bill when I didn't have an account with them. I talked to the local provider and asked them this question and they said they had no idea why MCI would be billing us. What is going on? update: called verizon, a verizon rep referr ..read more

Reset Ringtone volumes Fanvil

Is there a way to reset the ringtone volume every night? We have guests that turn the volume down, but the next guest will miss the wake-up call, which is not ideal. So we would like to have the ringtone volume to be resetted every night, but i cannot find the option for this. Reprovisioning won't reset the volume. In this case we have Fanvil H3 with Firmware 2.14.0.7387 3CX Version 18.0 Update 9 (Build 20) submitted by /u/Puk1983 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
