I was never a big “Mary Jane” guy growing up, but as I got older and more banged up…and since it’s now legalized in most states, I’ve been dabbling in to cannabis to help with aches and pains especially while sleeping.
That being said, I think we’re just a few years away from seeing some super creative uses in restaurants…cannabis tasting menus, infused cocktail programs, etc. It’s pretty interesting stuff.
So I’ve been messing around with infusing bbq sauces. This one was a spicy buffalo wing sauce infused with cannabis hot honey. Used it to glaze these smoked and butter braised ..read more

Right before last Thanksgiving it was time to part ways with my 20-some old laying hens. The guy who normally takes them lives 60 miles away so I gift them to him. He works at a processing plant so this time he traded with me and gave me a case of fresh chickens. It was time to use one today.

I bought my LBGE 14 years ago and have never been anything but happy with it. But when it was just five years old a big crack developed in the firebox. Replaced it under warranty, but put the new one aside and kept using the old one. The crack gradually grew over the years, but it was still quite usable.
Today it finally broke apart completely and would have been tough to fix, so it was really a pleasure to dig out the replacement firebox and start using it. Such a great gadget ..read more
