Got a new Charcoal grill today (a Char Grill deluxe model 2929) and was excited to use it. After curing it for about 4 hours at 300 F, I peeked in the manual once more and was dismayed/surprised to see this: "Never exceed 400 degrees because this will damage the finish and contribute to rust." Does this mean I need to keep the grill's temp always under 400 F or else I could ruin the grill? From what I know, charcoal grills easily can get up to 500-600 degrees (or a lot more) so I'm a bit...

Back to Dollar Tree and they had this item for sale.
This is a corn based snack.
The closest thing this looks like is Fritos flavor twists buttttt some of pieces were very wonky looking.
The flavor here was not that special. Nice crunch.
I will give this a big thumbs up here just for the wonky looking pieces ..read more

Back to KFC for this desert item.
A four pack was 2.49 but I wound getting five of them in a small box.
They were nice and warm.
These were two bite poppers for sure.
I would say 2 of them I had imo had a good amount of apple filling in them.
The pastry though was really good.
The taste was good though but you really need that filling.
A medium sized thumbs here in the end ..read more

Found this at the front of Wal-mart.
I took the soda home and tried it.
Maybe it had some Cherry flavor to it but it was lacking for me.
Got a couple of okay burps out of it.
A medium sized thumbs up at best imo ..read more

The recipe I used is as follows:
1 cup butter (taken out of the fridge, heated in the microwave for 2 seconds bursts on power 5 to soft consistency, none melted, seemed okay)
1 lb powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa (bloomed in about 1 tbsp boiling cream and cooled)
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate, mixed with 1/3 cup cream, melted together, and cooled
1/2 cup cream (cold)
I beat the butter 2 minutes, added sugar slowly, beat 2 minutes, added chocolate and cocoa, beat 1 minute, then finished with...

I accidentally bumped my granite roaster today. It fell and chipped the edge of the lid of the roaster. The pan itself is fine. I got from my grandma about 5 years back. It looks like this, just with a small chip in the edge of the lid where it rests against the pan. I'm wondering if it's safe to use or should I replace it. I can provide pictures if necessary ..read more

I'm Petri, a mid-forties bookkeeper from Finland
Full disclosure here: I have always hated cooking, and quite frankly believed I can't do it well. So over the years I've been fluctuating between making few super easy but completely bland dishes, and eating convenience food.
My staples were cooked eggs and chicken fillet with random frozen vegetables. No seasoning. No sauce. Just something to fuel myself. And then I started buying ready-to-eat meals. Bland, unhealthy, expensive.
I want...
