The 152nd edition of The Open Championship will be held at Royal Troon in July 2024. This ancient championship is not only the oldest in competition in golf, but one of the oldest professional sporting events in the world.
The first edition of the tournament was held in 1860, at Prestwick, also on Scotland’s Ayrshire coastline. A long-awaited return to the historic reverse routing at the Old Course has been announced by St Andrews Links Trust. Allowing you to play the most historic course in the world, in its original routing.
This unique event takes place between March 28th and April 2nd, 2024, and includes 3 rounds over 3 days; the Old Course played in its usual routing, the Old Course played in reverse and a closing round on the Castle Course.
