As the business I am working with is expanding, we want to seem more professional. We recently learning that Quickbooks POS was discontinued (late to realize, I know) but we are trying to figure out what POS will work best for us. We are a brick-and-mortar health business specializing in supplements and personal care. We’re looking for a secure and reliable alternative that aligns with our specific needs. Here's a brief overview of what we're looking for: We primarily use the sales feature but heavily rely on years of sales and profit records, so easy import of this data is crucial. Is anyone using LOC (SMS Pro) eSuite? If so, have you experience any issues with exporting lists to Excel? Also, in the list wizard, when you "add criteria", what are the query statements to produce a list where a field is NOT empty? submitted by /u/Aventura505 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

After start up and welcome screen, card reader moves to this folder/download(?)screen. The cc reader sits on a cradle with an Ethernet connection plugged into a live Ethernet port. The buttons don't do anything but reboot the device or push the paper out. Touch screen doesn't do anything when touched. Any ideas what this screen means? submitted by /u/Available_Wind_3416 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I currently work as a system analyst for a large chain and I love it an am not looking to leave. I've been trying to find extra work after hours because well, lifes expensive and I have nothing better to do. I have nearly 15 years of experience with point of sale systems both server and cloud based and was really looking for a company that could use someone a few hours a week after hours for updates, menu program, troubleshooting, things that should only be done when the sites closed etc. I hope I made sense. To be transparent, many of the POS systems I've supported in the past are ancient ..read more

Looking for new POS system for tech/gaming independent business

I'm currently looking for a POS system to replace our current one (EposNow) as it isn't doing what we need it to. We are a small retail business that sells gaming and tech items, both brand-new and pre-owned. We source most of our pre-owned stock from customers over the counter, and the POS needs to be able to process this. Baseline requirements/improvements over EposNow Better barcode generation, and better bulk print. Handling of purchasing goods from customers. Proper serialized product inventory tracking (date when bought/sold, value of purchase/sale, non-duplication of product). Handlin ..read more

Hello r/POS members, I work at a museum and need to document the following: if a visitor is from the state the museum is located in, if a visitor is from out-of-state, and if a visitor is international. We have a number of different types of admissions already (event guest, teacher, student, adult, university staff, etc.) and cannot afford to add many more blocks to our product keymap already in place. Does anyone know how one might go about this by: Adding a product that prompts a pop-up for state/country entry Categorizing current products to prompt for or document this origin information ..read more
