Ya’ll ……. It is finally here! Today I would like to share our Living Room decorated for Christmas . For the past several years I have really leaned hard on the color green and this year is no exception. Live evergreens are my favorite and the Frasier fir is king in North Carolina. Ooooooo ya’ll ……… Thanksgiving is almost here! We LOVE hosting Thanksgiving at our house, and the more the merrier. Today I would like to show ya’ll our dining room all dressed up for for the holiday. Can ya’ll tell that this big white bird is the center of attention? Hello Ya’ll! Today I’m sharing all the details of my most recent project……. and it is a BIG project. I had been eyeing this desk at one of the Goodwills here in Asheville for a while, like 3 weeks ya’ll. So last Sunday afternoon here I went to the Goodwill in West Asheville to take that baby home with me……… it was gone. My own fault 100%. Ya’ll it has really been a minute since I have touched base with ya’ll. We are knee deep in clearing out my Mom’s house. This has been a long and somewhat painful ordeal. I will not go in to all of the details. Anyone who has ever lost a parent knows is hard enough . I still have my Dad even though he is in a facility. Have you ever noticed that when you get on FB Marketplace you never know what you will find. Last week I was finding nothing. Finding nothing is super dangerous for me. When I can’t find a piece of furniture on Marketplace I immediately go in to MY FURNITURE REFINISHING GIG IS OVER. Yep…….. every single time. And I go nuts. It took me a minute or 30 to put my crazy away just go on with my third load of laundry. When I did get back on Marketplace It was just as bad but I did have a better attitude . As promised, I am back with a really good project for ya’ll today! It all started at our neighborhood Goodwill. I had a few minutes to kill so I went in. It is my habit to make a beeline straight to the furniture section of the store and sure enough there was an antique Empire dresser……….in need of repair……… for $15 bucks ya’ll! Once the nice guys at the GW loaded the dresser up in my Nissan everything went to absolute crap . Hey ya’ll! I hope all of ya’ll are doing well. So sorry for my absence. We have been working on our house over the past 2 months. You would think that we are finished with it, but no. Next up on the house list is drainage ……… God help us all. We will be hiring out the drainage / re landscaping job .
