For rillette most recipes suggest oven at 120c or simmering on the hob until it falls apart. I’ve opted for slow cooking in the pot as I’m hoping to slide the skins off whole and make some chicken crackling to go with chicken melts later. The title of this topic is a common phrase where I live, and I assume all over the country here, but in case it isn’t where you live, it’s a phrase frequently uttered when someone does something monumentally annoying, either out of intentional inconsiderate, or just simple cluelessness. It’s not for the mundane, everyday nuisances, it’s for that next-level irritation, the one that poisons the rest of your day. Here’s mine: There’s a special place in hell for…coworkers who intentionally... Read more ..read more

I couldn't find a new thread to post songs in, so correct me if I'm wrong but I am starting this thread. My CT scan last monday showed bad news for me, my frontal hernia is so complex that it threatens to strangulate my small bowel which can kill me , which means that I have to have corrective surgery as soon as possible. This means my ileostomy might be moved from the right side to my left side, or I might have a complex hernia surgery next to it. Either way recovery will take about six months. On the coming monday I will see my GI to determine when & what surgery will take place. So most... Read more ..read more

I have updated our tagging add-on today, which now includes software that scans your first few sentences of the first post in a new thread to automatically add tags to your post. It only does this after you press the post thread button. Hopefully it will help in selecting suitable tags for threads and might get around the issues of only resolving to a tag if the tag is an exact match including singular or plural matches (so currently apple and apples do not resolve to the same tag). So I... Read more ..read more

Picked up 3 pieces of Mahi Mahi on a discount and this is what I came up with. Ingredients 3/4 cup EVOO 1/4 cup water Juice and zest of 1 lime 3 cloves of garlic, smashed 1 Tbsp of Tajín seasoning Method Combine all the ingredients and whisk thoroughly to combine. This will be short lived but that's okay. Put the fish into an appropriate container where the marinade will cover it. It's okay if it doesn’t cover all the way since you'll be turning...
