The basics
Eating the right kind of food is important to stay healthy and avoid long-lasting sickness. A healthy diet means eating foods that give your body the nutrients it needs to work well, and not eating too much of the things that do the opposite.

Frozen shoulder aka adhesive capsulitis is a condition where your shoulder becomes stiff and very painful. The range of motion of your shoulder reduces, it can even become completely frozen. This happens due to adhesions forming within your shoulder capsule. The shoulder capsule resembles a sac-like structure that forms a sleeve around your shoulder joint. Untreated, frozen shoulder can take 2-3 years to resolve. Many treatments are available to reduce pain and improve range of motion, however recovery can still take many months.

The medical professions understanding has moved forward considerably over the past few years. GP’s, orthopedic surgeons and osteopaths should move away from the concept of “wear and tear” and “joint degeneration” and onto a more patient centered holistic view.
What is Osteoarthritis?

What is symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD)?
The pelvis is made up of two halves, they are connected at the front by a joint called the symphysis pubis and at the back by two sacroiliac joints. This central symphysis pubis joint is stabilised by a number of strong ligaments. During pregnancy your body begins to produce a hormone called “Relaxin”. Relaxin helps increase the mobility of your joints by softening ligaments and other tissues; this softening helps baby pass through your pelvis.
This relaxation effect continues during pregnancy and afterwards while breast feeding. SPD is c ..read more

Asthma is a condition that affects the airways of the lungs. It results in obstruction to exhaled air; medically it is known as a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD. Asthma is caused by on-going inflammation within these passages. When the inflammatory reaction is triggered (by various external and internal factors), the airways swell and fill with mucus.
In addition, muscles surrounding the airways tighten, causing further narrowing of the passages. This narrowing effect results in difficulty breathing air, out of the lungs. The combination of airway swelling, mucus pooling and air ..read more
