Melbourne Osteopathy Sports Injury Centre began as a vision over ten years ago when the two owners, Dr Jessica Fetterplace (Osteopath) and Dr Shane Buntman (Osteopath) began working together in the UK. Their clinical aspirations grew as they worked side by side in many Osteopathic and sports injury clinics in England with some inspirational mentors.

In response the COVID-19 situation, we are now offering telehealth online video consultations with our Osteopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners. You can book telehealth consultations online here.
Our team is also gradually re-introducing in-clinic treatments, under strict hygiene conditions.
Until further notice, the following restrictions are being placed on in-clinic treatments:
One practitioner per day per clinic.
No client crossover – 15-min gaps between each client.
Disinfecting of all surfaces between clients.

In 1954 Sir Roger Bannister became the first person to run under 4 minutes for the mile, a feat previously thought impossible. Once again, the impossible is looking vulnerable with the sub-2 hour marathon now being challenged.
During an 8 day window spanning 12–20 October this year, Vienna will host the second attempt by Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge to become the first person to run the full marathon distance (42.195km) in under 2 hours.

As an Osteopath who has worked with many competitive and recreational runners over the years, I’ve come to recognise some of the most common causes of injuries:
