When you think of different careers in healthcare you may automatically think of a doctor, nurse or paramedic. Did you know there is a group of healthcare professionals called Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP) who support those with health issues affecting their day-to-day quality of life? Often working in partnership with doctors and nurses, AHPs have important roles to play in the ongoing recovery of patients. For example, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Prosthetists support patients in their physical rehabilitation, usually following trauma or injury. Similarly, Occupational Therapists ..read more

On July 22nd we celebrated the achievement of our students with a Graduation Ceremony, held in the grounds of Boxley House. It was wonderful to have so many friends and family join us for this very special day. We were particularly pleased to be joined by alumni from the Classes of 2020 and 2021, who had been unable to experience a formal graduation ceremony due to Covid restrictions. A pleasure to see familiar faces back at the ESO. Master of Osteopathy awards were presented by our Principal, Dr Kerstin Rolfe, and special guest speaker Dr Paula Fletcher; friends of the ESO will know that Paul ..read more

Lene, Year 2 Student Ambassador
European School of Osteopathy(ESO)

My name is Lene. I’m 20 years old and I’m German. Why did you choose to study at the ESO? I chose the ESO because of its excellent international reputation and its outstanding programme, which includes a specialist clinic where students treat children and babies. As far as I know, no other school offers this as an undergraduate experience. Also, its location was a big advantage point as our campus is in an “area of outstanding natural beauty”, so perfect to recharge those energy-levels after a long day of studying, but at the same time only a 50min train ride from London if one ever craves the ..read more

Why did you choose to study at the ESO? Osteopathy has always been a big part of my life and from a young age I became set on pursuing a career in Osteopathy. I chose the ESO because of all the universities I looked at, it was the one that caught my eye the most. Not only was it recommended to me multiple times by many different osteopaths, I was drawn to its small, supportive community. As a small university, you receive a great amount of support and are able to get to know your fellow students and lecturers on a close name basis. Every person is important and matters and you become a part of ..read more

Huge congratulations to our graduates, who have shown fantastic resolve over the past 18 months, adapting to new ways of learning and completing their clinical training in a COVID secure environment. An amazing achievement. Unfortunately, ongoing restrictions meant we were unable to hold a formal graduation ceremony, but this didn’t stop some of our graduating year dressing the part when collecting their degree certificates – the end of four years of intense undergraduate study and the start of an exciting new career. This year’s prize for Most Publishable Research was awarded to Flurina Thai ..read more
