One run he went on last night was incredible. I kept expecting him to lose the ball/draw a foul but he still found a teammate at the end of it. Love throwback players like him. Thought he offered more than Ebosele when he came on TBH. Love his running style as well. Reminds me of Raheem Sterling. The aul carrying handbags on each arm running style ..read more

Poor for Ukraine goal at home, question marks over free kick in Greece home game IMO and a bit of miscommunication with Collins that could've been punished in game before this. I mean he's played relatively few games for us - with about half being friendlies and low pressure games against poor sides - that the mistakes and drops in concentration add up and become a bit concerning. He was fantastic all game but it always feels like he's not far away from brainfarts like last night. I'd give him the edge over ..read more

I liked Taylor myself. Our central midfield is our problem position, part of it for me is Cullen, Knight, Molumby are all a but lightweight.
Thinking more towards the world cup qualifiers, i would think we should try fill it more with more physical players like Taylor, Smallbone, give Bosun Lawel a try, etc.
Molumby for all of his technical limitations cannot be accused of not being physical, surely?
He covers huge amounts of ground in games also.  ..read more

How can you watch that and say Taylor had no impact. Whatever about McAteer, and Ebosele to a lesser extent. Parrott and Ferguson don’t work as a pairing though. No one to run in behind when they’re both on the pitch.
Very gamey performance from him when he came on imo. Made a couple of excellent runs to try and get into a more advance area and also looked tidy in possession.
I'd imagine he will find a top end Championship club come Jan if he can't break into the Ipswich side be ..read more

Clearly not the most technically gifted player in the world, agreed. At the same time, I like how direct he is and yes despite being very raw (similar to Ogbene to an extent) I think he can be a good impact player off the bench for us.
A number of posters on here have stated in the past, that given our technical limitations as a team that we should really focus more on becoming more of a counter attacking side. One thing we have in abundance is pace on the break (depending on who's selected of course)  ..read more

Might be overally harsh on him but thought the cameo last night showed his technical limitations. The direct running at players seems to be a threat but in terms of passing etc. doesn't seem to be the best.
Again maybe a bit too harsh and a full 90 minute game might show a different side ..read more

Not unlike another former Rangers player but Gazza was at least a good footballer. Ronan Hale is simply trying to get the most out of his career now that he has got another chance in full-time professional football in his mid twenties. The NI striker pool at present are all playing in League One and not producing at international level. He knows he is probably more likely to score goals for them and does not have to compete with the likes of Ferguson, etc ..read more
