Time for a new Empties post! I have empty beauty products from five amazing brands. Natural brands, environmentally conscious brands, brands that are cruelty free. And I’ve also got a whole bunch of natural sunscreen: all the sunscreen we used up during the summer. It is so important to really use up your products if you want to reduce waste. I hope this post will inspire you to do so! I also want to show you how many [!] natural and environmentally friendly options you have, when it comes to cosmetics.

It has been a minute since my last cruelty free shower routine. October 2017 to be exact. A lot has changed since then. First of all, we are no longer a three-girl household, but have been a four-girl household for almost a year now! Second, cruelty free is no longer the only standard I hold my skincare products to. I try to choose as natural as possible as well. In this cruelty free shower routine you will find brands and products that contain 90-100% natural ingredients and therefore don’t harm your skin, the environment or animals.

A few weeks ago I went to a lovely vegan lunch, hosted by the INIKA. INIKA is a 100% natural cosmetics brand, that produces high quality make-up with exclusively vegan, cruelty free and halal ingredients. The products I’m reviewing in this blog also contain up to 83% organic ingredients. This brand is green! They call themselves “The healthiest make-up brand in the world”. So obviously I was very excited to test and review their pure primer, the liquid foundation and the perfection concealer. In this INIKA foundation review I am creating a flawless base with these products and sharing my thoug ..read more

There is something about washing your face that can make you feel so much better. In the morning, to feel more awake and energized, so you feel ready for a new day. Or in the evening, to wash away all the make-up, day-dirt and anything else you want to leave behind, after a long day. You need to take care of your skin – of your entire body – but your face probably needs your attention, care and love most. It’s not only the first thing people see (and what you see, when you look in the mirror), it’s also such sensitive skin. Using natural skincare is not just a great idea: if you ask me, it’s a ..read more

I guess it’s something everyone struggles with, at some point in their life: breakouts. Acne and pimples can have various causes and have a big impact on your life, if it’s something you have to deal with on a daily basis. In this blogpost I am sharing my 10 tips for clear skin. This is how I maintain clear skin and minimize breakout time.
1. Girl, wash your face
You need to have a consistent skincare routine. No slacking here. That means wash your face two times a day: every morning and every night. Use a face wash or foam to cleanse your skin. Afterwards apply toner with a cotton pad ..read more

Because I made the decision to go cruelty free last year, I needed to find a new way to clean my makeup brushes. That’s why I substituted my beloved MAC brush cleanser for the Makeup Revolution Brush Cleansers. I’ve been using the Anti-Bacterial Brush Cleanser (a spray) and the Anti-Bacterial Brush Shampoo for the past six months. Here is my verdict.
The Makeup Revolution Anti-Bacterial Brush Cleanser
