I have put next to no thought into this side. Have had a really strange day (both good and bad) and right this moment my Brain is mush - "isn't it always Sid, hur hurr hurrrr" so I have near enough thrown the invisible darts at the invisible list of players.
Near certain I have a hike or boat trip on so unlikely to see it. Will check the Diary in the morning.

Not buying all this nonsense, we have deserved to be beaten on three occasions this season, Arsenal, Atalanta and Everton, and even the Arsenal game was helped by schoolboy errors by Virg and Alison, and dubious yellow cards on Konate.
Other than that, all our problems this season have been mostly self inflicted, which has cost us dear, VAR aside, we have been so guilty of schoolboy defending, stupid individual errors and Sunday league finishing across the front line, and tbf thats being harsh on Sunday league strikers.

A win is a win is a win.
This will be a physical game, so I'd be getting as many tall and combative players in there as we can and would still be happy to avoid using Salah or Núñez in the starting line-up for another match given that the lads got the job done.

A difficult selection dilemma for this game.
On the one hand, it seems simple to pick your strongest XI when you are still in a title race. That's a given, really.
On the other, our form over the last 5 League games does not correlate well with a side that is in need of 6 wins to have an outside shot of a title. We looked energy-depleted and low on ideas, which means a side best-equipped to win a match may not be our best-XI on paper.
I'd start a couple of younger players here - just a couple. I imagine that will be seen as defeatist, but it's not about "giving in" at all - I think the fear ..read more
