Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and bp have announced the start of production from the R Cluster, ultra-deep-water gas field in block KG D6 off the east coast of India. RIL and bp are developing three deepwater gas projects in block KG D6 – R Cluster, Satellites Cluster and MJ – which together are expected to meet approximately 15% of India’s gas demand by 2023. Sulzer Pumps UK has awarded a contract to supply the motors for four water injection pumps which will equip a future Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to GE Power Conversion. Drawing from its experience serving the power generation and fuel gas boosting market, Atlas Copco Gas and Process has secured a compressor order for a combined heat and power station in Russia. The order – placed by Entrade Gmbh (a subsidiary of ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi A.S) – is for three integrally-geared fuel gas booster compressors — two natural gas units and one syngas unit. The first machines will ship from Atlas Copco Gas and Process to the customer in early 2022. The coronavirus pandemic continues to not only impact the dates of industry shows but has also forced one association to change the timing of its annual event. The GPA Midstream Association has pushed its GPA Midstream Convention from April to September, with its 2021 event set to occur from Sept. 26-29 in San Antonio, Texas. MODEC has placed an order for six compressor trains for a floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit, which will be deployed on the Sangomar field 62.1 miles (100 km) south of Dakar, Senegal. The order comprises six centrifugal compressor trains: one low pressure (LP), three medium pressure (MP) and two high pressure (HP), all driven by fixed-speed electric motors.
