Hello to all,
In the “STP Execution” section of Kindergarten, I encountered this sentence: “But while the possibility of slippage for the broker is eliminated, the possibility for slippage for YOU (the customer) has increased.” Could someone please explain to me how come there is slippage with the broker since it locked the trade with LP already. Shouldn’t the price it displays be better ‘controlled’, and the spread more consistent ? Thanks

WTI crude oil was up over 4% during the Asian session on reports that Israel’s middles had struck a site in Iran. Whilst the report remain unverified, it further fans fears of a broader-scaled war in the middle East. And one that could draw the US into the action.
An Iranian news agency claims explosions were heard near an airport, prompting several commercial flights to divert their course over Iranian airspace. Even if the unverified reports turn out to be untrue, these headlines are likely to keep investors on edge as we approach the weekend, which leaves ri ..read more

The US dollar index recouped some of Wednesday’s losses and is now tapping 106, whilst the US 2-year yields considers a break above 5%.

FOMC member Bostic said on Thursday that a rate cut is not likely until the end of the year. This makes sense given the strength of US data with elevated interest rates, and likely lands conveniently after the election that the Fed do not want to be seen interfering with by changing policy a couple of months before it.
Backing up the sentiment, Kashkari said that “once inflation is heading back to 2%, we can cut rates”.

Look. I am fluent in english. But theres still a lot of words (not trading related words) that make it hard for me to learn. I am an native austrian. What do you guys think of maybe implementing more languages. Using google translator is not really an option, since the translation is really poor and words that dont need to be translated since they are major trading terms get translated anyway which causes confusion when trying to learn.

I will post all my trades here for 6 months from today until Oct 21 2024. This is to encourage me to stick to my system and don’t mess it up. I hope that this exercise is enough for me to do “good” eventhough my audience are all anonymous and do not know me personally. I think this is better than to trade on my own. At least I will have some sense of accountability to stick to the system because I know “someone” is watching.
Entry Criteria:
I will trade the daily charts.
I will use weekly charts just to confirm the direction of the trend.
I will use the indicators bollinger bands, stochastic a ..read more

Australians are none the wiser as to what’s happening in the domestic labour market with another volatile jobs report creating more questions than answers. AUD/USD is largely unmoved, leaving offshore factors to remain in the driving seat.
Australian unemployment up, hiring down
Australia’s unemployment rate ticked higher in March, lifting a tenth of a percent to 3.8%, below the 3.9% level expected. Employment fell by 6,600, although the full-time workforce grew by 27,900. Markets were looking for employment to increase by 10,000.

The system I’ve been using with great results & it’s very simple.
TF = 15 Minuets to D1
ADD 25 12 & 9 EMA to your chart.
BUY When the 9 and 12 EMA Cross the 25 EMA Upwards.
SELL When the 9 and 12EMA Cross Downwards across the 25 EMA
Basically the EMA’s are the same as the standard MACD indicator.
