The beginning of the end. The omen of dark times ahead. The one when God literally shows up to show his disgust at our podcast. We've emerged from our comas to bring you the final three episodes! Letters is such a crazy series of books, honestly. There's a lot of drama, a lot of laughs, a lot of giraffes. There are five golden tickets hidden among certain listens of this episode. If you find one, you'll be joining us on a tour around the chocolate factory! We might even kill you in a cute way (drowned in a brown river) ------ Please watch/ listen to our stuff: ------ Eliot's short film, Flu & Me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl8w9aHT_fc&t=1211s Eliot's audioplay, Paper Thin: https://pod.fo/e/aa9bf Sean ..read more

The final season returns and the boys are bigger than ever. This is honestly the worst bit of the Bible. Man alive, we're basically heroes for getting through this one. If anyone is bored of the holy book by now you should know we take a side-step in this one and actually do a bit of Myths (Romulus & Remus) and Legends (Us, for having a podcast) Keep being fantastic and thanks for sticking with us when the episode schedule gets a bit delayed. We basically want to make sure we record the last one together, so we have to space these out a bit. Have a great day and an awful weekend ..read more

The world may be falling apart but you can't stop us from reading the "good" book. No matter how many times you ask us not to... "Hush! HUSH!" we shout, ripping pages out of more enjoyable books while we watch you and your dumb children crying about it. "Please, stop reading the Bible. Stop making podcasts!" You yell, wrongly. "We are your saviours and we have come," One of us says while the other rolls his Eliot eyes. "What the world needs right now is more BiblePod. You are so welcome." It's part two of our series four kick-off! Jesus is dead. The show is surely over... No! Just like E.T., Gandalf and Reese Witherspoon, Christ returns to save the day. Also one of us farts in this episode about 37 minutes in. Recorded in self-isolation because we honestly can't stand each other anymore. ------ Please watch/ listen to our stuff: ------ Eliot's short film, Flu & Me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl8w9aHT_fc&t=1211s Eliot's audioplay, Paper Thin: https://pod.fo/e/aa9bf Sean has nothing to do with Emily in Paris, but here's a link to it: https://www.netflix.com/t ..read more

And low! All the citizens of Earth were locked away to live out their darkest days alone. But fear not for your heroes have returned to do a final series... In the first part of a two-parter, we read the story of the first Good Friday, in which Jesus was born? I don't know. We haven't read it yet. Part two is released in two days (on Easter Sunday!) so maybe listen to this one ASAP to get ready! Recorded in self-isolation, just for fun. ------ Please watch/ listen to our stuff: ------ Eliot's short film, Flu & Me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl8w9aHT_fc&t=1211s Eliot's audiop ..read more

VERILY, VERILY! Sometimes we read stories. Sometimes we don't. Don't get us wrong, we cover some important stuff, but when the Bible doesn't provide something meaty, we put on a show, Gourd-dammit. A song to unite the world? That's for the courts to decide... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information ..read more

"Toxic masculinity" is a phrase that's constantly being chucked around these days, but what does it really mean? How can we - as a society - not only analyse the building blocks of daily norms and cultural touchstones, but also break them down to hopefully create a more accepting, loving and respectful world? Is it possible to drill into centuries of psychological and sociological foundations to grasp the beating heart of this whatever to uh huh? Can we do it by discussing Jesus' lad crew and that time they went boozing? No.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information ..read more
