Hello! I need a consultation on installing an OKD cluster with a scenario involving a private repository. after the mirroring of the repository according to the https://docs.okd.io/4.14/installing/disconnected_install/installing-mirroring-installation-images.html#cli-installing-cli_installing-mirroring-installation-images I obtained the following ICS: imageContentSources: - mirrors: - harbor.in:443/origin/okd source: quay.io/openshift/okd - mirrors: - harbor.in:443/origin/okd source: quay.io/openshift/okd-content Then, I placed the above ICS in the install-config.yaml file. The cluster has i ..read more

Hello.
For reasons not currently important, I am to deploy an application on OpenShift Kubernetes. I have a local archive of the Helm chart - a folder with chart.yaml, templates/ and tests/ folder as well as values.yaml.
Now tell me - am I correct in assuming, that I need to go to CLI, login or register with OC, then run something in lines of..
helm install -f values.yaml application ./applicationfolder
..within the extracted folder. Is this the proper way? Do I need to run lint as well? Do I need to create a project for this on OC? I have HAproxy and I need to expose some of the services ..read more

Hello,
example:
6 VMs in VMware
Install OpenShift 4.15.x
3x WorkerNodes
3x ControlPlane Nodes
How to have a consistent Backup.
That can Restore the hole Cluster ( all Nodes )
My wish is one click recovery of the cluster
What are you using for DR ?
Shut be a free Solution if possible.... so we need to buy a extra license
thanks

Does anyone knows a way for the build pod to inherit a label from the buildconfig. So far from what I see it's not possible.

Hi everyone,
I try to install RHCOS 4.12 on bare metal.
Users <---> Bastion host <---> Cluster ( Bootstrap, master, worker )
In Bastion host, installed RHEL 8.8, openshift-install 4.12.53 version and mirror repository(quay mirror 4.12.53) .
When I make a manifests by entering the command 'openshift-install create manifests', the manifest has an image of 4.15 version.

Our Openshift nodes run as EC2 instances on AWS
I need to migrate my node's EBS volumes from IO1 to GP3 for costs saving (a lot of costs savings).
Issue is I don't find any official Redhat doc on doing this. I know that GP3 is supported because new cluster nodes default with this volume type.
Has any of you have done something similar before?
Note: not to be confused with EFS volume types for PVs

I've installed a BMH 4.14 cluster across 3 control nodes and 6 compute nodes, 3 of those compute nodes are intended to be storage only using Openshift Data Foundation, these three nodes have 10x the storage space of the other compute nodes. I know i have to label those three storage hosts/nodes as infra and taint them via a MachineSet.
My question is how do i label those BMHs as storage so that i can apply the MachineSet to only those three storage hosts? do i use the kubernetes.io/hostname label to matchLabel only my storage hosts?
I can see in the docs that i can manually label the nodes by ..read more
