I bought my first pair of Sperry's about two years ago. I thought I had bought the "Authentic Original," but it seems that the last might be different. I just bought another pair directly from Sperry, and the shape of these shoes is noticeably pointier. If you look at the picture, you can see the comparison between the new ones on the left and my 2+ year old pair on the right.
