Why is protein important for cancer patients?
Good nutrition is an important part of treatment and recovery. Getting enough protein can help you:
• Build and maintain muscle mass
• Build a healthy immune system to fight infection
• Improve recovery during and after cancer treatment
Protein rich foods are a good source of calories. Calories are important for maintaining your body weight during treatment.
The average healthy adult should have approx 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. People having cancer treatment may need more protein.

Sleep is a key component of a healthy lifestyle.
Melatonin is a popular supplement that’s best known for its ability to help people sleep. I recently read an article that showed new evidence that suggests that melatonin may also help lower your risk of breast cancer and improve treatment outcomes.
Recent research has looked into the possibility that melatonin might help prevent breast cancer, as well as slow its growth and help treatment work more effectively. Here’s what these studies have found:

Recipe:
•1-2 scoops Arbonne simply1 Vanilla protein
•1.5 cups almond flour

Did you know?
Low vitamin D levels in women could mean higher risk of breast cancer.
I didn’t know this until after I was diagnosed and was given a list of things to eliminate, limit and add to my diet & lifestyle.
Adding vitamin D3 was a must for me.
Why?
Vitamin D can play a role in controlling normal breast cell growth and may be able to stop breast caner cells from growing.
While its best to get your vitamin D from natural sources, like the sun, us who live in Canada don’t have sun all year round. However, you also don’t want too much exposure to the sun because that can increase your ..read more

Mother’s day is around the corner and I haven’t even begun to think about gifts. I’m not normally a last minute shopper, but for whatever reason, hitting the mall just hasn’t been a priority.
In fact, lately, I’ve been doing the majority of my shopping online. I find it so much easier to click and order, get loyalty points, and if I need to make any returns, I’ll do it afterwards. But ordering from the comfort of my own home is key to me.
Luckily, Arbonne understands that the majority of people prefer online shopping. And just for Mother’s Day they have created some amazing bundles for every m ..read more

For years, collagen has been an essential supplement for women, often referred to as the secret to long-lasting beauty and health.
But collagen is also such a vital key to men’s health especially as we get older.
So, what is collagen?
Collagen is a protein present in our body. In fact, it is one of the most abundant proteins, approximately 30% of all proteins in the body.
In the most basic sense, you can think of collagen as the glue that helps hold it together. It is the key structural protein that provides strength, and regeneration to all our connective tissues, including skin, tendons, lig ..read more

I have been using protein powder for the last 4 years. I always knew that protein was an essential macro in our diets, but until I had a coach work with me on my macros, I never had enough.
A go to source was always a protein bar, and still is, but now to ensure that I am getting close to my bodyweight in protein, I’ve started adding protein powders to my diet. Sometimes its to replace my breakfast, sometimes its next to a meal, and sometimes its adding additional protein to recipes.
Here are 5 reasons why you should increase your protein intake:
