Salomon’s Sven Thorgren and Method Mag just dropped their firework-containing recap of The Rip Off Session that went down at Kläppen in Sweden last week. A stacked crew including Sven Thorgren, Stale Sandbech, Torgeir Bergrem, Sage Kotsenburg, Annika Morgan, Cocomo Murase, Judd Henkes, Oyvind Kirkhus, Vlad Khadarin, Mons Roisland, Myiabi Onitsuka, Tova Nejne, Novalie Engholm, Patrick Hoffman, Dusty Henricksen, Taiga Hasegawa, and Mason Lemery all came out to ride at Sven’s home hill, which put on quite the show for the out-of-towners. A custom build and plenty of fireworks at what looks like o ..read more

Yuto Yamada Goes As Bigger Than You Do In Your Dreams
Snowboard Magazine

We know a bunch of world records have been broken recently and massive hits have been going down, but Yuto Yamada’s recent upload to Insta might be our favorite so far. Out in Sweden for his team week, Yuto went MASSIVE on a hip that looks to have taken quite a beating by way of the landing. Going that big on a perfect hip (so we have been told) is terrifying enough, but to do it late in the day with a bombed out landing is downright psychotic. With 35k likes and counting and a ton of comments from fellow pro riders, this clip will definitely stick in our brains for much longer than the averag ..read more

Green Hour: Snowboarding Under The Northern Lights

Damn, Monster just dropped a dope edit from trip a few years ago with Euro heavyweights Ståle Sandbech, Torgeir Bergrem, and Rene Rinnekangas. The boards date the edit which are obviously from a few seasons ago (rumor is the trip was in 2020) but to our knowledge, the clips and photos have not been seen until now. The trip was in Norway, the home country of Stale and Torgeir, with Rene joining up out of Finland. Pretty rare for something to go unseen for that long in the current social media landscape, but we have to say it was well worth it to see the full package as it was intended. Maybe it ..read more

What is It Like To Heli Board With Mark McMorris?
Snowboard Magazine
by Mark Clavin

What is it like to spend a day in the heli with Mark McMorris? Well, for those of us not named Stan Leveille, this is as close as we might ever get. The mystery is officially solved with the latest RAW update from Sparky’s BTS series. Try a few new boards, eat a few cookies, let the hair down and take some turns. Oh, and a gourmet soup lunch on the beach. Not a bad first day back for McMorris and crew. Enjoy ..read more

Valentino Guseli Sets New World Record For Highest Air In Snowboarding
Snowboard Magazine

First off, congrats to Valentino and Brooke! Our apologies for all the skiing, but we had to watch the whole thing to get to Valentino Guseli’s new world record height for the largest air out of a hip. As well as Brooke D’Hondt’s world record air which it looks like isn’t even highlighted in this video? We kind of scrubbed through but we didn’t see it specifically called out (on second scrub we think we found it but they didn’t give the height reading like they did for the men). Jay Rawe was also pretty insane hitting the thing in a sit ski which we like to call a sit-forward snowboard. Øyvind ..read more

The Uninvited Invitational 2024- “Too Many Photos” Photo Recap and Video

The entire replay is above if you want to relive the entire event. The Bomb Hole also put up a great recap video of the entire event as well with Julia Spadaro interviewing a ton of people in the crowd and on course. So is there really a reason to write a recap when you can just watch that? We could comment on how powerful it is to see this event as the industry is still trying to grow and figure it out. We could comment on how sick it is to actually pay riders a solid prize purse (insane work locking that down to Jess and crew) or just the importance of elevating women in the space and backin ..read more

Soy Sauce Nation – Sizzle Reel
Snowboard Magazine

Not like an Instagram reel, this video is much longer. Actually, it looks like editor Ted Borland made this thing for the aspect ratio of your grandparents’ TV. Must be because it is TIMELESS. Boom. Brought that one around, didn’t I? If you don’t know what Soy Sauce Nation is, this might give you an idea. “Stir-Fry starts with your decision to show up. We define ourselves by common goals & aspirations. Most importantly Soy Sauce Nation is built upon shared-experiences. You called out of work, canceled plans, drove hours through terrible weather and flew from all over the world to be at Sti ..read more

We are starting to roll through the past season and post all the videos that we might have missed. No idea how we missed this one. This one is a long way from Springfield. A recent drop from the Simpson brothers on a trip to Oslo. Very worth the watch, which makes sense on why Method Mag put their stamp of approval on it. Enjoy. “Two weeks in Oslo. Feelings run your world. The feeling you get after a good day on the mission, or walking away from something unfinished. Love, anger, joy, hurt, all mixed together to enhance memories.. Memories become feelings, some forgotten, some ingrained deep w ..read more

Que Andrew Gold. Thank you to these four for being friends and dropping Kiitos. Well worth the watch if you like snowboarding, Finland, both, or neither. Enjoy. “The Finnish word kiitos means ‘thank you’ or ‘thanks. ‘ This is the most common way to express gratitude. 4 friends travelled from BC Canada to Finland to leave behind a dry winter for waking up with powder in the streets. For 2 weeks we had the ability to adventure around see a few different locations, meet allot of friendly people, eat some great food, and make some amazing memories. Thank you Finland for giving us the opportunity ..read more

Geoff Brown and crew drop their last BACKCOUNTRY video of the year. And we have to say, it is some very high-production stuff honestly. When it is not easy to get footage and fight through all the weather, these guys are killing it out there. “Starting off with a couple snowboard jumps called Fox Jump and ending with Miskiman Cover Jump. Whistler Backcountry has some unique jump names. But this isn’t our last episode – Next Episode is a Whistler Blackcomb Sunset Shoot.
