Located about 1hr 15mins from Christchurch or 10mins from Cheviot you will find Tawanui Farm. A beautiful glamping layout, set amongst rolling farmland with incredible views. On offer is two super roomy Lotus Belle tents, a main hut and a very relaxing hot tub which is perfect for watching the sunset in.
Our stay at Tawanui was super enjoyable, we had perfect weather and really loved hanging out in the main area. Within this area is the kitchen, dining and shower/basin. The toilets are composting much like many other Canopy sites and are found a short walk away, so make sure you have a torch ..read more

This December it will be five years since we built our first home with Golden Homes and we can’t
quite believe just how quick time has gone.
The building experience for us was such a positive one. Regan was in the military at the time so was
away a lot, this meant I had to make a lot of decisions on my own which of course felt overwhelming
at times, but we had such a great team to count on to help explain things thoroughly.
We were so lucky to get our hands on a House & Land Package with Golden Homes, it was exactly
what we needed at the time. For first home buyers the packages are defini ..read more

Probably one of the places I field messages for the most, and to be honest I don't blame you all. Abel Tasman is unlike anywhere else in the South Island here in New Zealand. It is truly just an actual paradise, with its Golden beaches, turquoise waters and stunning coastlines, it's more than easy to see why it is so loved.
As a kid I had always been lucky enough to spend my Summers by the water, mainly in the Marlborough Sounds and as I got older it's become a tradition for Regan and I to visit and explore the Tasman area at least twice every Summer. Although due to my job we don't get to spe ..read more

There's no denying that Regan and I are forever on the road following our next adventure, and every time we head away we try to find at least one Waterfall for every trip we do. There's something just so soothing about hiking through the bush, and ending up at a magical waterfall to take a moment to calm the soul - oh and of course it makes a pretty fab spot to take a break for some lunch too!
This post has been requested a lot and so I am finally here putting pen to paper to make sure it has a permanent home on the blog for you to always refer to. As always all of our adventures are often save ..read more

Milford Sound is well and truly known for its unpredicatable moody weather. I had high hopes that our second visit would maybe mean we got to catch some sunshine and I was totally wrong. A one night stay at the beautiful Milford Sound Lodge soon became two when the only road in was closed due to a really bad storm and we became officially stuck in Milford Sound lol.
Luckily Milford Sound is one of the most beautiful spots in New Zealand and although the bad weather meant we couldn't explore it also mean't we were surrounded in our gorgeous Chalet by the most incredible raging waterfalls, some ..read more

Hey Guys!!
Currently at the moment we are in such crazy times, the worlds biggest event to happen globally since World War 2 - Insane that we are here to see it all. During this time I have to say it’s been so nice to see a lot more people getting active.
Here in NZ we had the announcement today that we will move into Level 3 as of next week, this now means Day hikes are allowed BUT ONLY if they are local to you, be sensible and responsible . I still want to encourage you guys to stay home and play your part BUT maybe once a week for a change of scenery you can head to get active somewhere wi ..read more

If you haven’t already noticed, Regs and I absolutely love being out in the great outdoors. There’s something about breathing in fresh air and being surrounded by nature that really cleanses the mind, body and soul.
Here in New Zealand we are so incredibly lucky to have the most beautiful backyard, we like spending any extra time we have, even if it’s just a half day getting out there exploring to new hidden spots and appreciating how lucky we are to call this paradise our home.
For 2020 we have decided to document 20 summits that we complete. Now we aren’t strangers to hiking in the hills, s ..read more

2019 is nearing the end and what a year she’s been. It's hard to find the words to describe exactly how 2019 has been for me. I haven’t shared every single moment online, mainly because to be honest I’m quite a private person and I feel not everyone needs to know everything about my life.
I do feel however, that it’s also equally important to be honest and show you that everyone has things going on. A lot of us put up the “shit umbrella” as Regan would say so you don’t even realise half of the crap that’s been going on behind the scenes in someone’s life - thats the stuff that just falls over ..read more
