 Hello creative friends!  Our mood board this month features the new Juicy set of liquid acrylics. As these are very bright and colourful paints, I wanted to create a project where the colour didn't overwhelm the elements on the page and also with a bit of a grungy vibe. I decided to try to create a mixed-media version of a nature illustration from a textbook, with the mould pieces taking the part of the specimen.  Welcome to the new year, Once again I have been given a challenge. And what a challenge... Finnabair has prepared 4 sets of paints from the Liquid Acrylic series and each of them contains a combination of 3 colors. The moodboard for January is based on the ‘Juicy’ set. Such colour combinations are not the norm for me, so I really wondered how to meet the challenge. Hello Sweeties, Today I'm up on Finnabair blog with a Steampunk wreath for Christmas.  I primed the Ornate Frame, the Steampunk Sparrow, and the Steampunk Wreath with White Heavy Gesso. For the gears, I used Black Heavy Gesso.  I coated the Sparrow with Gilding glue and left it to completely dry before covering it with Gold Metallic Flakes. Then, I added some green highlights with Malachite Green from the Limited Edition Precious Set and Avocado liquid acrylic paints.  I present to you my next delivery corresponding to the month of December 2024.  This time I worked on a Sea Chest, inspired by the colour palette of the month, I worked with Precious Set liquid acrylics.  I was inspired by a Marine background with blue, pink and coral tones, I worked a Reef with moldings and placed them in overlapping layers.  I loved working with these beautiful colours.  Enjoy the tutorial!
