It's been a long time since I created anything with rust, and for some time I had been thinking about combining rust with a delicate, slightly dirty shade of blue.  The composition is quite simple, because it's just castings and mechanicals, but in this project, I definitely wanted to focus more on the background. Hello creative friends! I’ve realised that a lot of my projects have celestial themes with stars and moons but I’ve never created a moon-shaped project. I decided that the Man in the Moon would be the perfect subject for this month's Finnabair tutorial! I started with a moon-shaped MDF base and recreated the surface texture using sand paste to make craters, art stones to add some extra rocky texture and crackle paste to give a rock-like effect.  I used Linen Impasto paint to give the base colour and then picked out the details with Prussian Blue and Ink Black acrylic paints.  I us ..read more

Hello, My today's project is a very rusty frame with various accessories. Here you will find old brushes that are no longer suitable for work. There are elements from Finnabair moulds, metal accessories, dry sticks, metal wire and an old light bulb. A total mix that gains balance when we add fantastic rustic Finn pastes. These pastes are a set of three perfectly matched colours, which, in addition to the rusty colour, have great particles that give a fantastic structure. I also used Prima Marketing rice paper, which I secured with Clear Gesso after sticking. I also used new colours of meta ..read more

Hello friends, We hope you have been waiting for the new Art Daily monthly theme :)  April 2024 theme is: Journey into oneself: Explore your inner self, and understand your desires and weaknesses. Build strength within yourself. Journey into oneself is one of the most valuable lessons we can get - a never-ending source of inspiration and knowledge. It may be fascinating, but it may be hard to understand and accept what we find on the other side. Are you ready to meet your shadow? Ambassadors' Spotlight - New Finnabair Products

When I saw the new real release, I was truly inspired by the colours and all the possible combinations the new waxes allow… that beautiful rainbow made me think of knowledge illuminating darkness, and ideas empowering women that bring light to the world. Very philosophic, right? But Manor House stencil took me to some centuries ago and I thought of all those ladies with brilliant minds that have been silenced by history. Find yourself, because the light is within you. Products I have used - all the images linked to Mixed Media Place or online store ..read more
