A sound that is flexible, and that changes in the way conversation changes, conveying tenderness, passion, excitement, calm, and a myriad of other emotions, is the one I seek. For me there are secret ingredients in the production of a good flute sound: Always play with communicative intent.  Focus on the c ..read more

Dear friends, its so great to be living in Australia! I count my blessings each and every day that I managed to return to my home country for the Covid- 19 Pandemic. My heart goes out to sufferers around the world. At the beginning of the pandemic in some ways I welcomed the enforced break: NO TRAVEL! What a relief!: I spent much time practicing flute outdoors; I followed the Deepak Chopra Foundation 21 day Abundance course, which gave me solace and insight. Allowed out to exercise, I began swimming across the bay from Sydney Harbour’s north point of Balmoral Beach to Peggy’s Island (and half ..read more

Studies have linked a reduction in anxiety, stress, discomfort and pain to alpha brain activity.  Alpha waves occur when we a ..read more

‘Flute Cocktails’ was an idea that came to me on a plane: Dubai-Sydney in early March. When the Corona virus hit, I was fortunate enough to fly home to Australia with in a few days of lockdown. Apart from not boarding a plane nearly every week, and not spending a significant amount of time performing flute concerts onstage, my life has not changed a great deal since Covid-19: As an Aussie-I am so lucky and feel so blessed: I spend hours every day on flute practice, I swim, I meditate. Lately I’ve been enjoying meditating after doing a Wim Hof session Wim Hof breathing with OM  ..read more
