Google released a new stable version of its Chrome web browser for desktop operating systems and Android today. This new version of Chrome, Google Chrome 123.0,  is a feature and security update. Microsoft has done it again. This time, the company displayed a popup advertising its Bing search service to Chrome users on Windows devices. The popup appeared for users who launched Chrome on the Windows device. It read "Chat with GPT-4 for free on Chrome! Get hundreds of daily chat turns with Bing AI". Google is working on a link preview feature in its Chrome web browser that enables users to preview links without opening them in a tab. The link preview feature has been in testing for a while, but Google continues to experiment with its functionality. Previously, it only showed link previews on hover. Google is improving the search suggestions that are displayed in Chrome's address bar, as part of the February 2024 Updates. The new capabilities include a read-only on-device model that works in incognito mode. Google has changed the flow of adding bookmarks in its Chrome web browser recently. While it is still possible to click on the bookmark star icon in the browser's address bar, doing so opens a redesigned interface. This new dialog displays no editing options in its interface. Google is rolling out a change to the Incognito Mode disclaimer of the company's Chrome web browser. It admits in it that it is tracking users even while the mode is active. The company settled a $5 billion privacy lawsuit over tracking in Incognito Mode in December 2023.
