Colourology Review

You might know this game by its pseudonym Colorolgy. Colourology is identical in all but one way, this version does not display the American’s total disdain for the letter ‘u’ on the box and in the instructions. Once you’ve played this game a few times you might look at the box and notice, there are two blatantly misleading statements. Firstly, the suffix -ology is commonly used in the English language to denote a field of study. There is no study of colour in this game so budding chromatists may not be as pl ..read more

Tabletop Gaming Live! A First Timer’s Thoughts!

Shortly, I will be attending Tabletop Gaming Live. And one thing I know is true, board game shows are incredible. I've only ever been to one board gaming convention. It was UKGE and I only went this year. I won't lie when I say I was apprehensive, I'd only played games with friends and family up until that point. Talking about the hobby seemed taboo in real life situations as I was under the impression the hobby was still small. Saying this, I'd only been blogging for about five months at that point and was stunned at t ..read more

The Quacks of Quedlinburg: The Herb Witches Review
Zatu Games Blog

The Quacks of Quedlinburg is great. There is no two ways about it. It has drama, humour, a fun push-your-luck dynamic, balance, plenty of replay value (with two ways to play in the box and plenty of variety in the ingredients), little black bags, a passing respect for the laws of probability, opportunity to combo the heck out of the mixing phase and a very clear end to the game. I guess the question is: What do you add the game that has everything? Another player, of course! A Quacks Recap There is a bit more ..read more
