Add fresh or dried thyme leaves to a small glass jar, cover the leaves with apple cider vinegar. Cap the jar and allow the thyme and vinegar to age for seven days. Strain out the thyme and use this liquid as an anti-fungal spray for toenail fungus. It takes about 3 months to see a difference, but if you do this daily, you’ll see a big improvement in toenail health.

Beautiful words from days gone by…
The opening summer, the sky,
The shining moorland, to hear,
The drowsy bee, as of old,
Hum o’er the thyme.
— Matthew Arnold, Haworth Churchyard, 1855
I cannot tarry;
I knew a wench married in the afternoon as she went to the garden,
for parsley to stuff a rabbit; and so may you sir, and so adieu, sir.
— William Shakespeare – The Taming of the Shrew 1595
What is there in the Universal Earth more lovely than a wreath,
from the bay tree?

Excessive salt causes a buildup of fluid that settles in the neck area when you lie down. This in turn puts pressure on your airway. Curbing the salt could ease the pressure that triggers snoring.

Fresh turmeric has a pleasant, ginger-like aroma, with a ginger-and-carrot taste.
It is loaded with many healthy nutrients such as protein, dietary fiber, niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, sodium, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and zinc.
Turmeric is a tropical plant — it needs warmth to thrive. It is propagated via rhizomes. After planting, it may take weeks before you see a shoot come up. If you want to make sure that a laggard rhizome is still alive, dig it up and examine for erupting buds or tufts of root hairs. A viable rhizome will also be fairly firm to the touch — n ..read more

Gardening is a good way for seniors to keep fit while they grow nutritious food. It is great therapy as well for those age-related ailments.
A garden can be designed, modified or built to accommodate the physical limitations of the gardener. This includes:
using raised, elevated or “stand-up” beds to make planting and harvesting easier;
making beds narrow enough to make it easier to reach around the bed without straining;
using trellises or vertical gardening.
changing outdoor steps to wide, curving, gently sloping paths.
Also, don’t forget the importance of outdoor protective wear such as a ..read more
