Every line in this book was beautiful and it showed that it came out of the heart. After every page, I thought about what the poetry was about and how we just ignore somethings and take things for granted as well. Some of us were lucky enough to be born in the same body and we loved it but some of them are out there who don’t and the whole journey is so painful when you don’t love who you are and some people just add to that by discrimination. All we can do is to help them fit in without any judgment or discrimination. THIS IS A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE! 4.7/5 ..read more

Call me they by Dimple Solanki

Call Me They, a beautiful illustration by Dimple Solanki. We have been programmed and conditioned in a way to distinguish people into genders of male or female and to assume their pronoun by the way they look and dress but as we grow up, we program ourselves and become more aware of the things around us and are more respectful to everyone around us. I honestly am still getting in the habit of asking their preferred pronouns and then addressing them but it is a process and I’m getting used to it and I try my best to not hurt anyone by assuming their pronoun. There are 23 genders in total ..read more

This was my first every manga and I researched about how you read a manga and read some articles and then started and the reason I picked this one is cause it is one of the most praised graphic novels/manga about Pride and I had heard so much about it and I thought there would be no better time to read than Pride month. So I jumped right into it.  I love how while reading when you imagine the characters in your head but here your imagination is right in front of you not in a movie form, it is at your own pace and every dialogue has its own expression and you can look at it as long as you wa ..read more

I’m very new to the pride culture. I come from a country where LGBTQ is still not embraced as it is here. I knew what it was, I met people of different orientation but here people embrace it and it is beautiful. It took me a while to understand this community, it took me a few strolls around Church-Wellesley to understand the culture and I was fascinated. I still am.  I’m still learning and understanding this whole new world that I was a stranger to and to understand this better, volunteered at Pride week and it was fun. I made so many friends from different race and orientation but comi ..read more

What if it’s us by Becky and Adam I honestly love Adam and loved Becky when I read Simon Vs the homo sapiens agenda. I had heard so much about this book and about this collaboration. I can’t thank HcFrenzy enough for sending this book.  It started off as a bit creepy of how they found each other and I was low-key weirded out but as the book progressed I loved how real it felt like all the issues they were dealing with and everything else and I liked how the end was realistic and not all flowery cause honestly it never happens and there is always that one hope that you may get together wi ..read more

We all owe to the Queer community to taking the initiative to spread awareness amongst not only them but each one of us and take measures to reduces the large numbers of Aids cases found around the world. It all began in 1980, when the aids epidemic broke in the world and it was amongst gay men at first, there was so less information about it that they thought that they were the reasons to spread it and what not. As time passed by and more information was known to everyone about Aids. The queer community to take it on them to let everyone know about the precautions to take and what not ..read more

I like this book but not as much This book is more about hiding yourself and being someone you are not and I don’t really like to read things like that cause I have never understood the concept. I mean I know people do that and they have issues and all but I don’t get it. I feel self love is something that is inbuilt in us and it should be always  I hate myself sometimes and there are so many things that I want to change about me and I reach dark places but I never put myself down and put others up. I love myself and I think everyone should too.  and the book changes its course like a ..read more

Birthday by Meredith Russo  I loved the first book written by her, If I was your girl, It was my first book about trans and It was so good and I really am so glad of starting pride reads where I can find so many different reads and learn so much about everything and make sure that I keep an open mind and try my best to hurt anyone just because I’m uninformed about something.  This book is so strained about how Morgan tries to avoid his feelings about feeling like a girl and I get it but it actually hurts my head to even merely understand of what he goes through and it sucks. I drank 2 be ..read more
