Any ideas for quieter golf courses in Oxfordshire? Appreciate weekends will always be busier than week days, but are there any courses that aren't rammed during the weekends?
Looking to get back into golf after a number of years and don't want to be constantly waiting, or equally feeling pressuring to hurry up due to queues behind.
Any suggestions?

Had no water all morning (Barton), and this is apparently affecting people in Headington as well. Anyone know how bad the situation is, and whether I will ever be able to shower?

The city elections are next Thursday, and there has been lots of misinformation about what the city council does (& most importantly does not!) do.
According to the Oxford City Council website they’re responsible for planning, leisure and waste collection. They are NOT responsible for roads (that is Oxfordshire County Council).
TLDR; this election has nothing to do with LTNs. Anyone who is promising to get rid of LTNs of elected is lying. The county council elections are next year, when LTNs are relevant.

My brother is coming to visit so we’re looking for anything interesting going on around Oxfordshire this weekend. I live nearby so we’ve done the standard touristy things and would prefer not to just wander round the shops in Oxford centre

I really like what they have but it was already expensive (almost London prices) but I still used to go there since it was the price since I went there for the first time. They have now upped their price by 10-20% and I can't justify that anymore.
Are there any alternatives with good gyros and skepasti?

I worked in Cowley in the late 80s and used to drink in the Chequers most nights. We'd sometimes go to on to a disco. There was this bloke who everyone seemed to know and he had his "thing" that whenever Rat Trap came on he'd do a full on dance where he acted out the lyrics really flamboyantly. Seen him do it in a few places, it was a bit cringe but to be fair he was fully committed to his art.
