Javascript and Java are NOT the same Over the last year, we’ve expanded into IT Staffing and Recruiting. In spinning that up, I’ve been doing a lot of interviews. I’ve been surprised at how many Automation Engineers and prospective SDETs apply for Javascript jobs and answer that they have X years of Javascript on the application, when they have used Java instead. About a year ago, I tweaked our website and added “Improving the Lives of Software Professionals” to the bottom of the page. Most people probably didn’t notice, but it’s made a huge impact. More than a footer, more than a slogan, it’s our restated mission. Up until recently, our mission was to “make a positive impact on the world through test automation”.
