Chase Elliott got aggressive at Texas Motor Speedway and was finally able to another win in the NASCAR Cup Series. The AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 was a challenge for every car on the track. All the drivers were calling the track “sketchy.” During practice and qualifying they just couldn’t seem to find the set up for their cars that made them feel good behind the wheel. That “sketchy” feeling appeared to continue in the race Sunday afternoon (3/14). There were 16 caution periods for a total of 72 laps. Some cautions were for cars that spun all by themselves. Denny Hamlin was able to use his experience to protect his tires to be there at the end of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. NASCAR fans got to witness what many might call “old school” Bristol in the St. Patrick’s Day race. The tires wore out quickly on the concrete racing surface. That put surviving the race in the hands of the drivers to protect their tires to be able to compete. The preferred racing groove was down around the inside as has been in the past. Teams had to strategize to ensure they would have enough tires to make it to the end of the race with a chance to win. The ..read more

Ryan Blaney did more than he needed at Martinsville Speedway in order to make the 2023 NASCAR Championship Four. The Xfinity 500 was the elimination race in the Round of 8. The four drivers in the Playoffs with the lowest point total and no win in the round would be eliminated from championship contention following the race. Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell won the first two races in the Round of 8. That meant they were locked in the Championship Four.
