The Bearded Trio Website Is Now Closed. For over a decade I have been running The Bearded Trio website but I feel the time has come to close the website.  I've had a blast over the years and met some incredible people...fans and celebrities.  The site has provided many opportunities and unforgettable moments.  Moments like asking Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd questions about working with Steven Spielberg.  Meeting Dave Filoni at Star Wars Celebration, interviewing the cast of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and so many more. The website might be closed but the social me ..read more

Our parents age and depart. Our political leaders fail us. Everything is worse than it was, which naturally gives rise to wishing for a time when things weren’t so bad. Hence, nostalgia. I don’t think any single thing stirs nostalgia i ..read more

Getting old isn’t all that much fun, for the most part. Nothing works like it did or is supposed to. We yearn for the days of our youth while cursing the sudden and stubborn limitations of age, even if, during one of those days of youth, we fancied ourselves as old. However, with age comes an ever-expanding memory and well of experience. The filing cabinets of our minds are continuously getting filled with new people, events and things we bear witness to.  One part of aging I have come to embrace is watching public figures - in this case, actors - move from relative obscurity to front ..read more

Let's Go On A Movie Location JourneyWe are honoured to have a wonderful guest post from Justin Wilkinson from the excellent MovieLocationHunter website. Justin shares with us some of the movie locations that we will be familiar with from being Lucas and Spielberg fans. Take it away, Justin! My fascination with movie locations all started when I was a young boy, awe struck by the outer-space settings of Star Wars, the time travelling in Back to the Future, the gadgets and glamour of 007 – ‘Bond, James Bond’ (Roger Moore was my childhood Bond) and the swashbuckling adventures of Indiana Jones ..read more

Good Night Oppy Is A Must-SeeIsn't it nice when you come across a movie that you somehow missed the boat on and then when you watch it you wonder how you missed something so incredibly amazing?  Well, that's exactly what happened with me and Good Night Oppy.  I'm trying to figure out how I missed this amazing docu-movie from Amazon Studios which tells the story of Opportunity, nicknamed Oppy, a Mars rover launched in 2003 that was supposed to last 90 sols (Mars days) and ended up plodding along the Martian surface for 15 years!  The other mystery of how I missed this is two of ..read more
