So this morning was my second weigh in session and I was hoping it would be less eventful than last weeks. When I arrived I was welcomed by Mrs Opinionated and Mrs I cant do Maths! I felt my heart sink as previous interactions with these two havent been the greatest. How the hell they have the job they do is beyond me. Now this week I had convinced myself that I had gained weight. Sunday was Fathers Day so this past weekend I kind of over indulged in nice things..a nice carvery, a large slice of Chocolate fudge cake, you know what I mean..However I was pleasantly surprised when Mrs Oppinionate ..read more

So this morning I attended my first weigh in since starting this weight management program that my GP referred me onto. I wont lie I was rather apprehensive about stepping back onto those scales since my initial weigh in last week, one of the ladies came across extremely judgemental and comments were unnecessarily made about me being over weight. I mean it’s a weight management program why else was I going to be there. Thankfully Mrs Judgemental wasnt there this week which I will be honest and say was a huge relief, I dont need that negativity or judgement in my life. Now when I arrived there ..read more

So here I am yet again embarking on another dieting adventure. It sounds good when you put it like that doesn’t it, “an adventure”, it makes it sound like something fun is about to happen but who am I bloody kidding… I’ve been here before (many times), I know the drill. Its not going to be fun, its going to be tough and Im probably going to turn into a moody, miserable psycho woman over the upcoming weeks as I attempt to leave the sweets, chocolates, cakes and biscuits behind me (I really feel for my family). I know from experience that I will find myself desperately craving chocolate as if my ..read more

So this morning I attended my first session on the weight management course which my GP has referred me to. Now I will be honest in saying that I was a little disappointed in what I experienced. When I spoke to the lady on the phone last week to book in and select where I would be attending the weekly sessions I was told that I would need to allow at least 30minutes at my first session as I would have to fill in some forms, I would then be weighed and measured and then they would sit down with me and go through the booklet with me step by step so I know what I need to do and what’s expected o ..read more

So this evening I really had a fancy for Chicken Fajitas, however when it came to getting all of the ingredients ready to make them I realised that I had run out of the Weight Watcher wraps which I would usually use (oh no!). Now usually I would have sulked like a big baby whilst trying to figure out what esle to have but seeing as I had all of the other ingredients I decided to see if I could work with those and throw together another dish. Now one thing I do have a lot of in the cupboard is dried pasta so I decided I would attempt to make a Chicken Fajita pasta bake. I mean pasta bakes alwa ..read more

So for the past week or so I have been struggling, not just with this weight loss malarkey but more mentally, physically and emotionally. I’ve not been in a very good place and it has impacted me trying to stay on track.. Now I know what the issue is, I’ve had my suspicions for a while but I guess I just didnt want to face it so hid away from it all, that instead I ate a shit load of chocolate, you know the typical comfort eating scenario. Not great when your already fat! So I decided I needed to do something, to make myself an appointment to see my GP as it looks like at the age of 35 Im peri ..read more

A few weeks back when visiting my friend there was this wonderful aroma filling the house. Her husband was slaving away cooking in the kitchen whilst we were chatting. Intrigued by this wonderful aroma I went into the kitchen to ask him what it was he was cooking that smelt so good, his response, Slimming World Sticky Chicken. So before I left I asked him if he would Whats App me the link to the recipe so that I could have a go at it myself and see if it tastes as good as it smelt.. Now I have adapted the recipe a little, adding in some onions and peppers and topping with sesame seeds. Yiu ca ..read more
