To be really upbeat I am going to name all the famous people we lost in 2022:   We first lost Peter Bogdonvich and he was 82 on January sixth. He co-wrote the Last Picture Show, Paper Moon and Mask. On the same day we lost Sidney Poitier at the age of 94.  He was the first Black man to win an Oscar. Then we lost Marylin Bergman at the age of 93 on the 8th.  She with her partner Alan wrote some very good songs Bob Saget at the age of 65 on the 9th. He was the star of Full House.  On the 12th we lost Ronnie Spector she was 78.  Then we lost Mea ..read more

The week of Christmas I had to endure chemo which was fine.  Just let me get well.  I had to wait two hours at the doctor’s office because they didn’t tell me that I needed to drink the horrible stuff which I had to endure.  Our Christmas was special even though I had to wear a mask.   We watched Christmas Vacation, It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34thStreet and Home Alone Lost in NY.  All my favorites!  I did watch Elf as well.   Other than Christmas it is the same old stuff in the news.  Old Joe took a vacation to Turk ..read more

It is now the first of December and my birthday.  On my first birthday Rosa Parks decided not to give up her seat on the bus which earned her national recognition.  It has been a bad month as I didn’t have to do chemo on my birthday which was totally good, and I got to spend the day with my family.     It has been a bad month as from the start we got news of three deaths.   The first was a man my husband’s age who had been battling cancer.  The second was a friend’s mom who lived to be 102.  She was in the same home as mom ..read more

It is now November 1st and I’ve spent the last month at the doctor’s office which was really unnecessary.  I have lung cancer and have been given less than a year to live.  I think I’ve told all those close to me but who knows?  I’ve lost my taste for Chick Fil A milkshakes when I used to get one every day.  Election day is looming and Oprah has chosen not to endorse Dr. Oz who she made famous.  Crazy world we live in.   It has been a hub bub of doctor’s appointments.  Can’t keep up with them all.  I did finish m ..read more

It  has been a tough month for me intermingled with some joy.  My Brother’s birthday was on the 13thand on the 24th it was our Sons. On the 16th I visited a old friend in Danville, VA.  We had a great lunch and got to see some of the downtown area which I had probably never seen before.      Then it got worse as a spent the last three nights of the month in the hospital.  They think I have lung cancer which has been confirmed now.  Our Kids stepped right up to the plate as did our Family and Friends.  I ..read more

I’ve been told the China Virus crazies could last a year.  Which is really disappointing for me.  I just watch old movies and never the news as we all what that’s like.  Old Joe is senile.  The Hyena has gone MIA when she is the border Czar.  Thousands of people enter our country each day and no one seems to care.  Plus, crime is at an all-time high.   Here's what else that happened on the 8th.  In 1915 Frank Randolph Cady was born in Susanville, California.  He was the youngest of three children born to Leo ..read more

Old Joe did something really stupid today.  He blamed all that is wrong on the MAGA supporters and Donald Trump. We know that didn’t happen.  He was flanked by a dreary red background and flaked by two US Marines.  We are now the most divided than we’ve ever been.  Good thing is that the Hyena lying low.  She is the border Czar and people enter each day and come to crime and a hate filled country.      Here’s what else that happened on the 1st.  In 1922 Yvonne De Carlo (Margaret Yvonne Middleton) was born in Vanc ..read more

It has been a long two weeks.  We went for a six mile hike and I walked through the grass and we were eaten up with bug bites.  We kept the Grands on Saturday Night and my oldest Granddaugher wanted to watch this superficial show called “Rain Bow High”.  Of course, I didn’t cook for them and went to Chick Fil A to pick up dinner.  At breakfast the next morning my Husband tried to make them breakfast but added to much milk to the pancake mix so he went to McDonald’s.  Earlier in the day I picked up Mom.  Our Daughter and her Boyfri ..read more

It is now the 19th. The big news today is that Dr. Frankenstein is retiring in December.  Old Joe relieved all college debt.  Good news is that the Hyena is laying low. Crime abounds us and you just never know what will happen next.  Plus, there is trash thrown out by careless people.    Here’s what else that happened on the 19th.  In 1871 Orville Wright was born in Dayton, Ohio.  He and his brother Wilbur was two of seven children born to Milton Wright and Catherine Koerner who were of  German and Swiss ancestry.
