VALOR sits on the California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB). Members are dedicated to addressing complex issues related to sexual violence by updating current policies and practices. The members of CASOMB created videos, available in English and Spanish, to educate about youth who have committed a sexual offense. The video highlights that effective policies need to be made with the understanding of developmental differences between adolescents and adults, and treatment options should be comprehensive and provide wraparound services. VALOR and the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence welcomed 100+ members to Sacramento May 15th and 16th for Policy Advocacy Day.
